Location

The hotel is situated by the sea, just 800 metres from the centre of Stari Grad (connected by taxi boat) on the island of Hvar. Petar Hektorovic castle, the Dominican monastery and Stari Grad field, a Unesco World Heritage Site candidate with preserved Ancient Greek field divisions, are all 1 km from the hotel. The nearest beach is just 50 metres from the hotel, shops and restaurants are to be found within 5 minutes' walk, and the bus station is around 800 metres away. The town of Hvar is approximately 20 km from the hotel and Split Airport is roughly 80 km from the hotel.

Facility

Units include 18 single rooms and 99 double rooms located in a 3-storey main building and several auxiliary buildings. This hotel has a lift and a reception desk. A baggage storage service, a safe, a currency exchange service, a library, a car hire service, medical assistance and a smoke alarm are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Guests of the hotel can enjoy various recreational facilities, including the garden, during their stay. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Rooms

Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Dining facilities include a restaurant with air conditioning, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety.

    I have been coming for years to Valamar Places. I cannot express with words how much I like this place. In addition to that, the staff is doing an amazing work. It is not easy for them, they work really really hard but there is no negativity from their side.They are 10/10!. I still wonder how, how they are able to create such a relaxing atmosphere for us guest. You have my absolute recommedation for this place!

    We had a truly wonderful stay at Valamar Hvar Places Hotel and would happily return.The hotel's location is excellent for exploring the island. Stari Grad is just a few minutes away and offers beautiful stone streets, charming restaurants, and plenty of small shops. I highly recommend renting a scooter, as it is a great way to discover Hvar and explore some of its hidden gems.The room we stayed in was on the smaller side, but it was clean, comfortable, and functional. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the entire hotel was well maintained. We especially enjoyed the pool area, which was always clean and well prepared for guests.The food was also very good, both at breakfast and dinner, with a wide variety of options to suit different tastes.What impressed us the most, however, was the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We would especially like to thank Marina, whose kindness, positive attitude, and excellent recommendations made our holiday even more enjoyable. She was always welcoming, cheerful, and incredibly helpful, making us feel truly valued as guests.We would also like to highlight Rino, who led the outdoor gym activities, kayak and SUP tours, as well as the volleyball tournament. He did an excellent job, always showing professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. His energy made every activity enjoyable and engaging, and they were a great addition to our stay.The kayak and SUP tours were very well organized, fun, and a great way to explore the area.
