  Heads up before booking!

  This hotel is right next to a club that closes at 5 AM. If you love feeling the bass through the walls and enjoy a lively atmosphere, this place is perfect for you.

Now, about the location. The hotel is in a shopping mall right in front of a bus station. It's not exactly the most picturesque spot. If you prefer hotels with a charming aesthetic, you might want to skip this one.

Our bathroom had a funky odor… let's just say the person who remodeled it thought wood laminate would be a great idea for the shower. Yes, you read that right. No tile, just warped and moldy laminate.

Overall, I'm not here to bash this hotel. For its price and proximity to the clubs, it's decent. I just didn't pay enough attention to the details and ended up booking it. Learn from my mistake!

  Extremely dirty hotel. Dirty carpets. Beds with stains. Dirty showers.

  Dirty hotel with dirty rooms. As you walk in through a very dirty elevator. You will see extremely dirty carpets where the employees leave the towels for the guests. When you enter your room you will find a dirty bed linen with dirty lamps next to the bed full of stains. My shower head has plenty of hairs from someone else. Extremely dirty hotel. Hairs in the tiles and in the floor also. Unacceptable.

  Poor Security, Dilapidated Exterior

  We were very disappointed by PRIMA Life Spalato due to very poor security measures and concerning external appearance. My friend and I were looking forward to staying in a nice hotel in downtown Split and were shocked when we arrived at PRIMA Life Spalato. The exterior is the least welcoming I have ever seen in a hotel. Graffiti covers the walls and the only entryway is tucked into an alley. The door to said entry is unlocked, and guests must ride an elevator to the fifth floor in order to reach the lobby. This was extremely concerning to two female travelers. Anyone could have followed us into this "main entryway" and into the elevator (the elevator also had no security measures such as a key swipe). While the lobby and the room itself were true to pictures, we were further dismayed that there was no deadbolt on the door. As we were aware that the main entryway was left unlocked, we felt unsafe sleeping in a room without so much as a physical lock. We checked out two days early and depsite explaining our security concerns, were not offered a refund.

  DON’T STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!

  We booked thinking we’d got a bargain, should have known there is no such thing! Weird hotel above a shopping mall but in a great location. Rooms are nice and tidy BUT unless you are planning to party yourself until the early hours of the morning, don’t stay here. There is a nightclub below the building that stays open til between 4 and 6am. At best you can hear the music in every room, at worst if you get a room towards the end of the corridor like we did, you can actually FEEL it vibrating the room as well! When I complained at 2am, the guy on the desk said ‘oh yeah, everyone complains!’ ‘We can’t do anything about it” When you try to speak to someone about a refund, no one calls you back or replies to messages or emails. So basically they know you can’t sleep here but they will happily keep taking your money and do nothing about it

  We really enjoyed our stay here. So close to all the action. Modern decor. All comforts provided eg. kettle and fridge. Just 1 comment, the name of the hotel needs to be more clear from the outside of the building.
