  Gorgeous, peaceful & relaxing.

  The location of this hotel is stunning.Hotel was really nice, lots of different places to sit and escape the world.Beach is pebbles, so you need beach shoes, and it is quite difficult to get out of the sea I found. Sunbeds are chargeable as it's a public Beach, we paid 10 euros for the day.Food was lovely and varied and staff lovely, rooms were modern and spacious. Tip - it really is worth paying extra for the Seaview which was breathtaking.Igrane is gorgeous 2min walk, few restaurant/bars and ice cream parlours.My only criticism is that no water is provided in room, and the only access to water is a breakfast unless you buy bottles. We upgraded to half board and felt we should have had the option of having water with our meal that we didn't have t pay for, it felt a bit greedy and exploitative.So top tip, take your own water bottles and fill them at breakfast, and buy water in the supermarket at a fraction of the cost.But we loved it here, great place for a peaceful relaxing break, would love to cone back.   Unfortunately not all the amenities were open when we went. The coffee machine was broken in the pool bar, and there didn't seem to be anywhere to buy food for lunch etc. Some of the staff were pretty unhelpful, but mostly they were lovely, the restaurant staff were great. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable. Great shower too. The food was good and plentiful. The area was lovely but I think we were a week or 2 too early to enjoy it as the beach was still being prepared and not everything was open.   Lovely hotel and location, but some improvements needed

  Lovely hotel with friendly staff who celebrated Mum’s birthday by bringing cakes to our room. Beautiful location on the beach and harbour, stunning views. Great food quality and choice in the buffet restaurant. They have evening entertainment such as local musicians on the terrace outside. The village of Igrane is small, traditional and laid-back which is exactly what we were looking for - very peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by beautiful mountains. There is a small number of restaurants, bakeries and shops along the promenade, and a lovely beach. Our favourite snack spot was Excalibur, sure worth a visit. The hotel offers some daytime activities to keep you entertained. It has access to the beach so we went swimming in the sea but beware of the current, and buy swimshoes as it’s a pebble beach. There are some stairs to climb to get to the beach. The main elevator doesn’t go to every floor so you need to lift your luggage up stairs - not an ideal hotel for people with mobility limits. Unfortunately I did not give a 5 star review because we paid for a swim-up pool room but our pool was very cold - not heated - too cold and uncomfortable for my Mum who sadly couldn’t go in it. Additionally the air conditioning in our room was awkward and difficult to use, and sometimes felt it wasn’t working, so the room was too hot.   For a relaxing break by the sea

  Wonderful hotel in the untouched village of Igrane, a breathtakingly beautiful seaside spot at the foot of Biokova. We stayed for 8 days in May. I have travelled quite a bit, mostly staying in 4 or 5 star hotels for work. Blue Makarska is the one place I would return to. The staff were lovely, warm and friendly, something rare in a hotel of this size. The hotel architecture fits perfectly between the cascading Croatian hillside houses and the beautiful Adriatic. Its grounds spread out behind the beach surrounded and interspersed with shady pines. There are plenty of day excursions to see riviera highlights but also onsite activities, swimming pools, painting, olive oil tasting, wonderful spa treatments, professional Pilates, meditation body fit/core program and more. Not to mention direct access to the sea. In the evenings there is live music of impeccable quality. This is a tranquil resort with clean quiet and large rooms ( ours with balcony overlooking the sea) , and respectful atmosphere wrapped in Croatian charm.   A nice hotel in a fantastic location right on the sea front.
