Great value for money and close to the sea

We took a week long break at the beginning of September and we were not disappointed. Villa Luketa is located adjacent to the main road from Split to Omis. A bus stop is located about 100 meters away which will take you in to Split for €2.50 per person, approximately 30 minutes ride.On arrival at rhe villa you head to reception (upstairs, follow the signs) and the owner will greet you and get you to your accomodation. We stayed on the ground floor. The villa apartment is clean and tidy, with a small kitchen area and bathroom. The bed is big, comfy and clean. TV is available (take a USB stick with movies if you want) and air con is great. The kitchen area is functional with a microwave, 2 hotplates, fridge and sink.The bathroom works well, including a powerful mains shower, although hot water doesn't last long (you'll not want a very hot shower anyway...air temperature is high).The only disappointment with the shower is there was no adjustment on the shower bracket, meaning if you switch it on it sprays horizontal out into the bathroom. To shower you need to remove the shower head, switch on, rinse yourself, switch off, soap, remove shower head, switch on, rinse, switch off...🙄From the villa it's a 1 minute walk down the path to the beach, with some steps at the final 10 metres. Head uphill from the apartment and you get to the main road outside.The beach is quiet, shallow, safe and lovely for sunbathing and swimming. I swam every morning around 7am and was the only person in the sea. You can also use this route in the evening to walk to Podstrana along the beach, or towards Omis for beachfront restaurants and expensive yachts 😁Across the main road and towards Omis, approximately 100m are a supermarket for daily supplies, and a pizza restaurant for evening food, along with Dreams Restaurant. All good quality and reasonably priced.Overall this is given 5 starts for the price. Great value for money for a couple taking a short break, and those who love the sea. Hopefully this review doesn't make it too popular as I want to return next year.

We arrived much later than planned due to airport delays but our host was there to welcome us. He was friendly and helpful, walked us through the apartment and gave us local information on places to eat and visit. The apartment was a little dated but had a homely feel and was fully equipped with absolutely everything you’d need. The views are lovely especially at sunset. The beach is a very short walk away but be aware there are lots of steps. The villa is on a main road but I only noticed traffic noise the first night. I would stay here again.

Fab apartment and spotlessly clean. Beautiful views from terrace and the beachfront is 2 minutes away down steps. Lovely clear water, a pleasure to swim in. 10minutes walk along beach to restaurants. Host is really friendly and helpful. Supermarket is a few minutes walk away as is the bus into Split. Would definitely recommend.

Just spent a wonderful week in this apartment. Our 1st time in Croatia certainly won’t be our last. The owner welcomed us when we arrived .Asked if we needed anything to ask. Didn’t need to the apartment was spotless. The kitchen was fully equipped. Air conditioning. Sea view watched the sun go down every evening. The beach was about 2 minutes walk. We have been on many holidays but this is my favourite. Can’t wait to book again. Mo and Mick 😊😊

My second visit to Villa Luketa and it was even better than the first time! Its in a perfect location right on Podstrana beach with beautiful sea views from your balcony. Ivo and his brother and sister are the perfect hosts and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they are very knowledgeable when we asked about tips for days trips etc. The apartment has everything you'll need, kettle, toaster, cooker, microwave, fridge, table and chairs, hairdryer, wardrobe. The air con is really good and there is a large, very comfy double bed. There is plenty of hot water too and a good shower. There is a sofa and tv too. There are supermarkets close by, pizza shop, lots of restaurants and beach bars etc. There are bus stops right outside and the location of this place is perfect as you are 30 mins from Omis one way and 30 mins from Split the other direction! From Split we took boat trips to Brac Island and Hvar Island and they were both amazing!! Omis is just beautiful too, well worth a visit. I just can't fault this place and it's why I will keep returning. Its been a perfect holiday and I highly recommend staying here!!
