A very pleasant stay at The Adriana

    rating18 May 2026

My Husband and I stayed at The Adriana the first week of May for 7 nights. Sadly the weather was not too kind to us but the welcome from the Receptionist and all further contact with the lovely Staff more than made up for it.We had a comfortable room on the 1st floor with a view towards the sea, not very big but there was everything we needed including a dressing gown each, a beach bag, beach/pool towels and a pair of toe-post flip flops each. Being Brits we like our cups of tea but there was only a coffee machine and pods in the room. After mentioning this to Reception there was a kettle delivered to the room almost before we had returned. The grounds are very attractive and beautifully kept. We did manage a little sunbathing on the loungers by the pool on the 2 sunny days we had.We could not fault the food. There was a reasonable selection of items on the breakfast buffet plus eggs cooked to order. We ate dinner at the hotel on 4 evenings and could not fault it. The set menu cost €40 per person and we thought it was good value for the large salad buffet followed by a hot appetizer, choice of 3 main courses and a buffet selection of desserts. There is also an à la carte menu but we did not try that. The Staff were all very pleasant and friendly, happy to chat when they had time, and all spoke excellent English. A big shout out to all of the Staff, especially Marina who looked after us well.It is a 15 minutes or so bus ride to the stop nearest The Old Town. The buses, No 8 or 8a, run every half hour during the week and hourly at weekends. Reception will print out a timetable for you. The bus stop is just a short five-minutes walk away. Tip: instead of going to the bus-stop to the right when you exit the hotel grounds, go to the one on the left and you have a better chance of getting on. You pay the driver and it costs €1.59 each.Should we ever return to Zadar we would choose to stay at the Adriana again.

    Two Happy Holiday Makers

    rating25 Aug 2025

The hotel is beautiful, the staff lovely and we feel totally relaxed after a week. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, we slept very well. The staff were very kind and gave us extra pillows to ensure a good nights sleep. There are fluffy dressing downs and flip flops, all toiletries provided. The grounds reminded us of italian gardens and surrounded us to create the most beautiful backdrop. We ate out for lunch some days and there was a fantastic Mexican and pizza place near by. Outstanding sunsets, excellent cocktails from the loveliest girl on the pool bar. Big shout out to Marina and her good energy.

    Welcome Home! How true!

    rating28 May 2025

On arrival at the Adriana the door read "Welcome Home" and how right it was. From the second we entered the hotel we felt so at home. All the staff were incredible but Maja and Marjan (the heavenly 'twins' they looked so alike) were so helpful and friendly cheerful and chatty. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Nina the manager was more than helpful too sorting out our taxi problem so admirably. The dining room itself was a work of art with floor to ceiling windows all the way around. You felt like you were dining outdoors which was fantastic as the grounds are so beautiful. The food was incredible, so many choices on the menu but if there was nothing you fancied there was an extensive buffet available. The hotel has obviously recently refurbished and our room was an absolute delight with an enormous balcony overlooking the grounds to the sea. Amazing sunsets. All in all a fantastic holiday. We cannot wait to return.

Nothing luxury about it. Save yourselves the disappointment.

    rating03 May 2025

There is absolutely nothing luxury about this hotel, unfortunately. For €200 for the night, I was expecting some class, but you can see this place is falling apart with an obvious lack of investment. The hotel is in the same grounds as their other hotel aimed at families, which is no problem at all, but there is no difference between them. My room lacked shampoo and the plugs don’t work. There is hair on the curtains and the bed spread. I travel every week throughout the year and this is definitely the worst 4* hotel I’ve stayed in a long time. Maybe if it was classed as a 3* and the price reflected that, more people may be more understanding about what they were paying for. Please save yourselves the money and look elsewhere.
