    Nice Hotel. Just missing a hot shower

    Nice hotel. Clean. Good restaurant. Only issue was we never got hot water in our shower. We were in a suite with a balcony. Great room. Lots of space. Huge bathroom just no hot water. They gave us a key to the next room that was empty to shower in but it didn’t have hot water either. Otherwise great place to stay before you fly out.

    The good news is that this is just a 5 minute car ride to the airport; however, we would not return to this hotel. It has very few amenities. The front desk is not manned from midnight to 6AM. The furnishings are not comfortable. (We had a 1 bedroom and the living room couch was not great). Staff are friendly. There is a restaurant on site. You pay for that separately. We did not eat in the restaurant. This hotel is okay, not great, just average.

    I don’t typically leave reviews when I’m disappointed but I feel like in the spirit of ‘traveler beware’, you should be prepared for the good and bad if you are in need of a hotel close to the Zagreb airport. While the location is convenient it also means you will be hearing jets take off and land until midnight. Maybe ask for a room on South side away from the runway?Upside is there is a restaurant on site. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly. Downside is the smell of smoke. Although they have created a separate enclosed smoking section, the smoke still permeates the restaurant and the lobby. Didn’t have an issue with smoke in the room as they are smoke free.Downside; restaurant is also a local hangout, which means loud conversations echo down the hallway until closing. Make sure the hallway door is closed to reduce the noise. The beds are fine and the water pressure in the shower was okay. Room was clean and I appreciated the towel warmer in the bathroom.Overall, this hotel is very convenient and close to the airport.

    We were actually sent to this hotel because the one we booked had something happen and recommended this one! This hotel was awkward from the onset. Our room was so hot we couldn't comfortably be in it. Front desk tried to fix the problem but ended up giving us a small fan & suggest we leave the window open. Ido we did! I ordered my fav Croatian meal...chavapi. The version I was given was so bad even my husband couldn't eat it. We wanted to end our evening with a drink at the bar but were told we had to sit in the cold section which was much too cold. I don't think it was heated. They refused to let us sit in the dining room which was empty, because they said they could get busy, so we had no choice but to take the drinks to our room. We had an early morning flight and not only did we not have any hot water there was nobody at the front desk to help us. Just a very awkward experience all around!

    We stayed at the Royal Airport Hotel for one night and found it to be a solid choice. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the location is perfect if you need somewhere close to the airport.The breakfast was good quality, though I’d suggest adding a bit more variety to the selection. Despite this minor point, we were very satisfied with our experience and would happily recommend the hotel to anyone needing convenient airport accommodation.
