  I was in the hotel for quarantine for five days and it felt like a prison.I do not understand english. As called and asking for english, the angry woman from the reception cried only "what?". Horrible unfriendly and ine should expect, the receptionist can speak at least basic english.You also cannot go down and explain, when in quarantine.Not even beer was available!!!I wad called by different people, you never know, when. I hate that load ring tine. yiu cannot even unplug the annoying telephone.tv set was switched on several times automatically!!!I hate hat hotel, never want to go back again, not once for free.Bed sheeds not changed. Last day i was called by receptionist, if i was satisfied??! I said bed sheets were never changed. Ah sorry!WLAN not working. Great, when you have five days no internet. This is impudence, you not even can buy a sim card.The breakfast was ugly, a kind of sausage. Every day the some fruit drink.For this bad joke, they charge you 50$ a day.

  A very terrible hotel

  Seems like a prison, the rooms are dirty and the staff is very unfriendly.. the food is terrible... we’ve been there because the government of Cuba forced us to move from a casa particular because of the famous virus, but this was a very awful experience... DO NOT GO THERE!!   Avoid this hotel!

  I booked via booking.com and so far unable to leave a review on their site. I want to warn people to avoid this hotel. My boyfriend and I spent 8 days in Cuba staying in Airbnb’s and the final night before leaving Havana for Varadero we booked this hotel because the reviews and pictures didn’t seem too bad. We are not picky people and require just a clean room, clean towels, clean bedding and an overall safe place to stay and while we didn’t feel unsafe the hotel room was beyond disgusting. We were first given a room which was filthy. Hair all over the floor, no toilet paper, garbage not changed and questionable bedding cleanliness so we went down and requested a new room. The second had toilet paper and the garbage had been changed but that was the only difference. We debated leaving but at 8pm at night and leaving early in the am we put a towel on the floor to walk on, covered the pillow with another towel which smelled slightly cleaner and just slept, got up and left, it was even too gross to take a shower. Spend more money and stay elsewhere!!

  As you all know the system to able to use Internet at the hotel is sooooooo complicated!!!! I went in the front lobby and they told me i had to go to the backward canteen to buy 2 hours of some “cuenta”, but it was close by 10:00pm so i bought it and i had to return to the main lobby to enter. And then what is really ridiculous things happened its that the doorman didn’t lets us go in cause we had ours “chancletas” on!!!! What the heck dude??? I dont even wear short o anything inappropriated!!!!. I could see tons of people w the same “look”, and they sat inside???!I meant if you guys stay and said the service here is good, you are wrong!!!!So if you ever come to Havana, Cuba; dont stay at Tulipan Hotel!!!! Lamentablemente para nosotros en el momento de su estancia en nuestra instalación presentamos problemas en la Recepción 1 y solo se estaba dando el servicio en la recepción 2 para la compra de horas para internet. Le pedimos disculpas por las molestias ocasionadas.

  Very hospitable stay

  The Tulipan is not a top class Hotel but it suited my wife and I since we had wanted an affordable place outside of the noise and confusion in the city. We found it very relaxing and an advantage is that I could have my breakfast, lunch and dinner right there without having to bother to venture outside.The staff at the front desk were very helpful especially since we speak no Spanish. Food was acceptable and in abundance.
