    Quite a nice place

    rating28 Jan 2019

We stayed here for two nights, the parents in one room, and the adults daughters in another. Quite a nice and clean place, for breakfast included, but for dinner I would go outside. Do not try the local red wine - it's horrible, and you pay too much for it in this place.

Está en construcción, no es acogedor y tiene deficiencias.

The place is under construction, so don't expect a place to relax and rest because there's noise since early in the morning (by owners and workers) Be aware of the loud talking even they are less than 1 metre away. Doors slaming and windows banging. We had better welcoming in other casas in Cuba, where they explained us what to see and do and giving us info of the area. Not in this house. They said they have wifi but the connection is really poor and some days were unable to connect. The bedroom smells like humidity and fresh cement. The bathroom has poor lightning, empty soap dispenser, no hanging hooks or bars to place the towels.Once finished, this casa will be a nice place but by now they are more focused on the construction/renovation than the wellbeing of the guests.

    Lovely casa particular. Wonderful food.

Enjoyed staying here. Has a rooftop restaurant. Very accommodating. They did my laundry promptly. Cooked a lovely breakfast with choice of eggs. Made for our group a spectacular dinner with veg soup, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp and lobster! far too much food.

    A lovely home to stay!

    rating14 Aug 2017

We only stayed one night as part of an excursion to several cities in Cuba, but we all, my parents, my sister and I, wished we could have stayed longer in this lovely hostal in Trinidad. We came from Havana, where we were staying in a big hotel for 2 weeks. Two weeks is absolutely fine to visit Havana, as there is a lot to see and to do and you can still do excursions. In my opinion, I preferred this hostal over our hotel in Havana, as it is family run. It is not a house you stay in, but a home. The family welcomes you with a smile. They are all very friendly. The first thing that caught my eye was something that had caught my eye in several places in Cuba, that is the famous rocking chair. When you enter the hostal, you come into a hall where there were 2 rocking chairs. It was lovely to finally be able to try one out as I absolutely love them, especially those made out of wood with braided reed. Our room was spacious enough, clean and we had everything we needed. There was an airco that worked better than the one in our hotel in Havana. The bathroom was also clean. We had evening dinner on the roof of the hostal. It was such a beautiful evening. The daughters were helping their mother. They started placing everything on the table. The only thing they asked us was "fish or sea fruit". We had the Cuban rice mixed with small beans, vegetables. It was a delicious home cooked meal and we all liked the atmosphere of the family run home. Also breakfast was on the roof. Again the family put everything on the table they thought should be served. The mother of the house asked us if we wanted some eggs, which she prepared for us the way we wanted (boiled, fried, scrambled,..) On the table there was also exotic fruit like mango, small bananas, guave. We also had fresh guave juice.I would like to thank this family as they made our stay in Trinidad unforgettable. When I go back to Cuba, I will definitely stay here again as I think 1 day + 1 night Trinidad is too short and this place is a lovely hostal.

    Good place

The place is really nice even though it looks it's still work in progress. Wasn't pleased by the first room they put me into as it had no fridge and was very small, but when I asked to change it, they accommodated my request.
