This attractive apartment complex is perfectly located within a few minutes walk for the lively tourist centre of Ayia Napa and its numerous shops and entertainment venues. The beautiful sandy beach is only 500 m from the hotel. Larnaca airport is only 45 km away and transfer time is about one hour.

Facility

The apartment hotel has 2 lifts and features 145 rooms. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Very poor cleanliness and disappointing service – not what we expected

    I have just returned from a 10-day stay at Anthea Hotel Apartments, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing.The biggest issue throughout our stay was cleanliness and housekeeping.During the entire 10 days, our room was only attended by a cleaner twice, and one of those visits was simply to replace towels rather than actually clean the room. The floor was swept or mopped only once during the whole holiday, bins were not regularly emptied, and basic supplies were not replenished.We were never given spare toilet rolls and had to purchase our own from a local shop because housekeeping failed to restock them, even after we complained to reception. For a hotel apartment, this is completely unacceptable. The overall cleanliness of the room remained poor, and I will be uploading photos to show the condition.We raised these issues with reception during our stay, but unfortunately nothing improved.We also tried breakfast at the hotel one morning. The breakfast was advertised as a “jumbo breakfast” costing €13 per person, so we expected good quality and value. However, the food arrived cold. We asked for it to be replaced, but the replacement meals also came back cold and inedible. Because of this, we refused to pay, which resulted in staff being very rude and unprofessional towards us.Due to the lack of cleaning and the poor condition of the room, we requested a late check-out. Although we were given a “discounted” rate, we were still charged €20, which we felt should have been waived given the issues we experienced throughout the stay.Ayia Napa itself is lovely, but sadly the accommodation let the holiday down. Basic standards of cleanliness, customer service and food quality were simply not met.I would not return to Anthea Hotel Apartments and would strongly advise future guests to consider carefully before booking.

    The first night I found a toenail in my bed, when I asked the grumpy gentleman at reception to change the sheets, he replied that at that time the cleaning ladies were not there and that I would have to pay an extra supplement anyway. Scandalous.

    Me and my boyfriend we stayed here one week and it was good. The rooms are spacious which was nice surprise, bigger than we expected and had small kitchen which is very practical. The apartment was clean when we arrive and the staff at reception was friendly and helpful. The pool area is good place to be in the day and food from hotel is good and reasonable price. But we must say the place is very much for young groups and party people. Location is very good, only few minutes walk to the strip which we liked very much. Overall for the price we think it is decent choice.

    For 10 days I couldn’t sleep. In Anthea hotel apartments nothing is real. The bullsh!t piled up so fast you needed wings to stay above it. This place is truly hell on earth. I came with 9 of my friends, only 8 made it out. How did this happen? well, let me paint you a picture. First night we are warmly welcomed by funny staff members and shown the butch security guards we were told would protect us. Oh how wrong we were. After entering our rooms that looked like the scene of an 80s thriller movie and locking on our door that was falling from its hinges, we went to sleep with anticipation for the following fun-filled days. Second night: sleepless. The staff had to be called to help with a situation that would later go on to haunt the narrative of our holiday. My god these people hold grudges and do not forget. Night three: me and my friends went back to one of the rooms for a debrief after hitting the beautiful strip. THIS is where it all turned south. The security knocked on our ramshackle ahh door almost to the point of breakage and screamed at us sending us a warning that this would be our last night at anthea hotel apartments, Aya Napa. The entire night we were restless. As innocent 18 year old girls we feared our lives, having to spend the next 8 days on the streets would end us. The next morning we asked to see the manager to plead our case only to be laughed at like our situation was a joke. “Of course you can stay” his assistant chuckled. From sheer shell shock we let this utter abominable display of disrespect and mockery slide, relieved we would have a place to stay for the coming days. We should have slept on the streets. The rest of our holiday was filled with bitter, hate filled resentment and harassment. Constant banging and shouting on our doors from the staff whilst we slept and endlessly being told to be quiet at 11pm by security, despite the energy surges from the Sleazy Joe type sound the strip was continuously producing. If other guests were playing music on balcony’s, our quiet asses would be blamed. If I was ever told to send one message to the future generation it would be DO NOT STAY HERE.
