    great people, great place

    as always its the people who make a difference and the staff here are wonderful. then there is the location. perfectly situated in the old section between the river and the main square. everything a short walk and great views just outside the front door. a hot breakfast also very welcome and all at a reasonable price.

    Charming and authentic, with the NICEST staff possible. The hotel comprises three buildings bult in the 1500s so there are some steps to climb and hallways with twists and turns. All rooms are different, which adds to the charm. Room furnishings are rustic in style. and the bed was super comfortable. Attached bathroom was small but spotless. Breakfast spread is enormous with options ranging from ceral to yogurt to sausage and cheese. The hotel is easy to get to -- smack in the middle of town -- but peaceful. All in all, a simply lovely place to stay in historic Krumlov.

    A wonderfully located, wonderfully atmospheric hotel in a very old building just steps from the main square. The room and bathroom were large—often not the case in Europe—with basic, lovingly made wood furniture accented throughout the hotel with whimsical art. As is often the case, the mattresses were quite firm. There’s a fascinating, informative book in the lobby about the history and restoration of the building. We stayed for three nights, which I recommend, as we were able to immerse ourselves more in the beauty and quiet (at night, anyway) of this beautiful town.

    A hotel with lots of history and character! Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms have been done up nicely and there were no issues with cleanliness. Location is excellent, in the main section of the town. The beds could have been more comfortable as the mattress was very firm. Note that there is no lift (for obvious reasons) and some of the rooms are located up quite a few days

    Excellent location within walking distance of all the sites. This is a quirky, older building… nothing is standard or cookie cutter. Every room is different, which I loved. Staff are welcoming and very personal. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special. I would happily stay here again because of the unique character and charm.
