    Perfect hotel in Old Town Prague!

    Hotel Rott was perfect for our stay in Prague! The hotel is located less than a block from Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock with many restaurants and bars nearby. A 15-minute walk in any direction will lead you to wonderful sights of the city. The hotel is small and has a warmth and charm that fits well with the feel of the city. Our street facing room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and beautifully presented. Our trip took us to many European cities and with the included breakfast Hotel Rott was a better value than most. The hotel staff welcomed us warmly and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay in Prague. I highly recommend Hotel Rott!     High standard of cleanliness, friendly helpful staff. Room good size, bed very comfortable, air conditioning perfect. Brilliant selection for breakfast to suit everyone. Fantastic location, close to everything you need but no noise disturbance. Perfect spot!     We have just returned from our holiday in the Hotel Rott for our seven-day stay in Prague. It is a very nice, clean and quiet hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff.The rooms were cleaned daily by the staff to a very high standard, by the cleaning staff.The breakfast was varied plus they had a wide selection of different foods on offer, including homemade cakes. We had to turn down the prosecco in the mornings, even the non-alcoholic type.The lifts scared me a bit as they are all open glass lifts, especially the main one in the reception as I got a fear of heights with them. But luckily we were only on the first floor. But overall the whole hotel is very historic, well maintained and very clean, and we had a very pleasant stay here.The only problems that we found is that on their website, it mentions a rooftop bar, but when I asked about it, I was told it had been closed. Although the lady on reception said, that she could get a master key to it, if I wanted to take photographs at night of Prague. Unfortunately I forgot to take up her offer.They also did not have another bar or restaurant on site. And we were pointed to the various other bars and restaurants in the area. Which unfortunately being in the Old Town area, could be expensive.Overall we had a very pleasant stay in Prague, using this excellent hotel as a base, but I wish that I had planned it a bit better for us both. As we did a lot of walking in the city. The trams would have saved us a lot of time, if I had researched them better. Especially as we paid for the historic tram to the castle one day, and we found out later that the 22 tram does the same, if not a better route around the city for a lot cheaper.I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Prague, but for the local area for food and drinks. Take a walk into the numerous side streets as there is a lot to see, plus the food and drinks prices get cheaper. But the quality stays the same.     2nd visit. We will be back!

    We stayed here in March this year for the second time. First time was March last year.Rooms very clean and quirky in a good way. Breakfast excellent but it is the people who make it. Rodrigo the Manager is hands on and super helpful. We got maps printed at reception for every trip out which made it really easy. Going back to the airport on public transport was very easy with them, it even gave us the exit numbers to take to get right to the bus platform. It is a great value, comfortable hotel right in the heart of things. Other hotels looked a bit odd or sleazy and this looked and felt safe and secure which is important. Hats off to all the team. Well trained and welcoming and helpful at all levels from maids to reception.
