Elegant location, spacious rooms, but not quite a 5-star experience

    rating01 Jun 2026

The hotel benefits from an excellent location in a quiet and elegant area near the Vltava River. The room was large, comfortable and spacious, offering a pleasant stay and good conditions for rest. However, for a hotel marketed as 5 stars, several details were missing. Basic amenities such as slippers, bathrobes, shoe-cleaning accessories and vanity kits were not provided. Housekeeping seemed limited mainly to replacing towels rather than delivering a complete room refresh. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The selection lacked variety and some pastries, especially the croissants on Monday, June 1st, did not seem fresh. On the positive side, the staff was attentive, courteous and willing to help throughout the stay.Overall, a comfortable hotel with a very good location and professional service, but currently closer to a solid 4-star experience than a true 5-star standard.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures online, this hotel is nothing like this! Avoid

    rating16 Feb 2026

We panic booked this hotel at about 1am due to a flight delay. Used booking.com which showed 5 stars and pictures on impeccable rooms. This wasn’t reality! The room was basic 90s chipboard and tired. The bath had chunks out of the enamel. The toilet shower wet room situation was giving orange is the new black. The carpets in the corridors were FILTHY and it stank of cigarettes. Overall needed a massive revamp which interestingly it’s claiming to have. Should have booked in the Allure where we were staying for our trip but thought being marginally closer to the airport might be beneficial. No. Big mistake. Just avoid this place. The pictures are fabricated nonsense!

    Fantastic find in Prague!

    rating31 Jan 2026

Brilliant find. Overlooking the river . Easy access to everywhere. Quiet. Beautiful room. Spacious with all amenities inc coffee machine. Reception staff extremely helpful. Clean . And breakfast was amazing with just everything you would like! Inc fresh lemon juice and the best freshly cooked omelettes or scrambled eggs. Wait staff spoke English and friendly. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be back. From a well seasoned traveller who stays at times in exceptional hotels so well done ..

    No sleep in here!!!

    rating28 Dec 2025

The noisiest hotel ive ever stayed in in my whole life! Perhaps we were in a bad room, but if you want any sleep - avoid! Room 502 is opposite the lift shaft and cleaning cupboard and neither one of them are quiet! You're either listening to people arrive back or leave at all hours chatting, banging etc or the cleaning staff have some kind of vendetta against the walls because they bang their mops and vacs so hard into them its unbelievable!! The trolleys carrying cups and plates rattling along all the bumps in and out of rooms/lifts. The doors are very heavy and bang instantly upon closing. The room - lovely, wouldn't say 5 star but was nice. View was the only saving Grace - gorgeous view of the river. You need to ask for more pillows - they are like pancakes but the bed is super comfy. Very few British channels on the TV and the shower is over a bath- very small. Im 5'6 and didnt fit - my parter 6'6 had no chance. Overall, no, I would never return, three nights on constant noise and three mornings of early disturbance is not for me. FOM MHRP, Guest Services / Front Office at Mamaison Riverside Hotel Prague, responded to this review Dear guest,I am sorry to hear we did not provide enough comfort for your stay in our hotel. Our housekeeping starts after nine a.m. or later, depends on guests departure. We remind them to be as quiet as possible, but I understand it might still be disturbing.Pillows size we chose medium, what is perfectly all right for the most of our guests. For those who like them higher we are happy to supply extra.I hope that the number of TV channels was not such an issue and you had a chance to explore and enjoy Prague during this cold but lovely season. With regards and all the best for 2026 wishes,Viktoria Suskova, General Manager

Nice location, be careful with the booking and possible bait and switch

    rating13 Dec 2025

The hotel is in a great location, along the bank of the river in the Prague 5 district. All of the wonderful city sights are within an easy walk from the hotel. The building is a bit on the older side, but well maintained. Be prepared to have to carry your luggage up a few steps when entering the hotel. The breakfast was good, nothing that I would call memorable. My major concern is the attitude of the hotel staff and the variation in the size of the rooms. Had booked a deluxe room, based upon the photos on their website and on Trip Advisor. The room in the photo was is spacious and very inviting. Upon checking in the room I was given was very small and no appeal what so ever. There was barely room for myself and my suitcase. I believe that that I was given a Standard Room, with the hope that I would not express any concern. In addition, I had booked a room with one larger bed, but the room that was given had two very small beds. Was initially told that they were full and that there was nothing that I could do so tough luck. The front desk also said that they had no ability to see what bed type was selected at the time of booking. This personally makes no sense to me at all. After expressing my disappointment , requesting the email of the General Manager along with a lengthy discussion, I was given another Deluxe room but it left me with a feeling that they knowing were playing bait and switch. Probably will not return to this hotel because of games that they played. Plainly speaking, I don't thrust the hotel staff.
