If you have a choice, please choose somewhere else

We stayed here as part of a Wowcher Mystery Holiday, itt didn't look amazing from the photos or reviews but we went in open minded as we knew we'd have a great time in Prague regardless. But PLEASE, if you value your sleep and level of hospitality, look elsewhere. I appreciate I sound like a moaner in this review but this was honestly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.The bed was terrible - two single mattresses that felt incredibly thin that flicked up at the sides when you got into bed - and the pillows honestly may as well have not been there, they flattened down to nothing. There was no mirror, fridge, safe, iron or ironing board in our room - you really do just get the basics. Storage was also minimal - there were two tiny hanging rails with a small shelf underneath. We used these but wished we hadn't as our clothes ended up covered in a white substance. Our curtains didn't close fully, so the room never got dark at night as we were located at the front of the hotel. The other benefit of being at the front was being woken up by the roadworks at the end of the road between 6:30 and 7am each day.Soundproofing inside the hotel is also non-existent - there were three doors between our bed and the stairwell, but we could still hear people talking on the stairs two floors below us.We'd paid a bit extra to have breakfast included - just don't bother. When we checked in we were told that reception was open until 7pm. We had a late flight back home so asked if we could leave our bags at reception to collect later, to be told that we'd need to be back by 5pm at the latest. It may have only been a couple of hours difference, but it was such a shame to have to end our last day prematurely. I'm guessing the lady just wanted to finish early.I've kept this review brief, believe it or not, but hopefully you can get a picture of the kind of hotel this is.

    Confortable rooms and kind hosts

The hotel is a family owned hotel and they make you feel welcome. The breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is comfortable too. Close to the hotel you have a Supermarket which is very convenient. The hotel is a little far from the main attractions, however you can take the public transport and will be at the center in about 15 minutes. The hosts are very kind and helpful, my daughter left her phone in an Uber and they help us to get in touch with the driver that did not speak English.

    Value in Prague

    rating15 Aug 2024

Charachter building converted from old. Good location, in a quiet area fairly central to city centre. 5 min walk to closest Tram.5 bedded room was large and clean. Breakfast was plenty with hot & cold choice.Pleased with value based on above.Run on presumably tight budget, a few extras in bath/shower room would of been a good touch.Beds are basic but adequate. But overall no qualms from us, as reflected in what we paid.

    Great place to stay!

    rating10 Jun 2022

Nothing bad to say about this hotel. There wasn't any issue checking-in late in the night, choice of breakfast was wide and staff was nice. The hotel is located in really beautiful area of Holesovice with a massive park nearby and many shops, restaurants and pubs around. It's also very close to centre of Prague, around half an hour walking or only few minutes by electric scooters which are available to rent all around the city.We came to see the beautiful Prague and all we needed was a bed to sleep in, shower and toilet without paying hundreds of pounds for it. Hotel Olga is perfect choice when looking for affordable place to stay in Prague.

This is a place you go to if your standard is "I don't want cockroaches under my bed".

This is a place you go to if your standard is "I don't want cockroaches under my bed".We arrived at 5 pm and no one was at the desk. We had to call the emergency number, and a man told us very rudely to keep ringing. After 10 minutes or so, a woman finally shows up to her job.We immediately get asked to pay a 2€ per person city tax, per night. A quick Google research showed me the tax was 0,60€ per person, but I had a whole week to stay and I decided to let it slide. The room is furnished with old Ikea stuff. In the 7 nights me and my family were there, we had to ask for clean towels after 4 days, because they'd just fold the ones we had already used, with mascara stains and all. The first night I put my beauty blender on the bathroom shelf and left a bit of make up on it. That stain on the shelf greeted me at the hotel for the entire week, as our room was cleaned exactly once in 7 nights, if you consider quick vacuuming cleaning. There was mold and hair on the soap we were graciously provided with.I had ham and cheese for breakfast for the entire week, because nothing else looked appetizing: the frosting on the stale, sad cupcakes we were offered was barely holding itself up. We had to put our dishes back on a white shelf by ourselves. The staff treats you like you're a great inconvenience to their day, and the lady at the desk gave us the wrong tramrail number to come back at the hotel. Every morning, in spite of having no more than 20 guests on their busies day, we were asked very aggressively which room we were in. I'm really sorry for having stayed so long in your business, I PROMISE that's never happening again. We paid 580€ for this stay, 7 nights for three people. I had found a cheaper hotel, but sadly it didn't have a room available for the whole week. I regret not booking a hostel, that would maybe have been cleaner. Being a cheap hotel doesn't mean you shouldn't even vacuum the guests' room and give clean towels, and a smile and welcoming attitude cost exactly 0 crowns. The only good thing about this hotel is that it's really near to the city center.Definitely not coming back, and there's not enough reasons to say you should book here
