Chic, Comfy & Perfect in Prague

    rating06 Jun 2026

I found the perfect getaway right in the heart of Prague. At the Pytloun hotel, I was instantly charmed by the modern design, incredibly comfy bed, and luxury bathtub right in my room. As a guest, I loved the rich breakfast and free tapas. The location on Wenceslas Square was absolutely perfect for my evening walks. I also truly appreciated the incredibly helpful staff who made me feel welcome throughout my whole stay. It was an unforgettable weekend, and I will definitely return to this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is average to below average. The room is quite small, the towels are very thin, and there was almost no water

The hotel is average at best. The room is relatively small, and the towels are extremely thin—more like bed sheets than proper towels. We reported that there was almost no water pressure in the bathroom sink and were told it would be fixed, but unfortunately nothing was done. It was practically impossible to wash your face in the sink and we had to use the shower instead. The bathtubs are also very high, so extra care is needed when getting in and out. It’s disappointing that for a hotel in this price range, the staff did not resolve such a basic issue after it was reported. The breakfast is reasonable, but there are no fresh vegetables available. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location.

I had a really great welcome by Viktoria - who was as welcoming every day I was there. The room was gorgeous - really contemporary with curtains that opened automatically as I walked in. Despite being very central in busy shopping/restaurant areas, it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was amazing - such a great spread. There is a rooftop bar which was lovely and had a couple of great bar staff.I loved the hotel and it was in the middle of everything. We talked everywhere from the hotel. This trip was for business and I will definitely be back to Prague and to this hotel. Excellent.

From arriving at the hotel it has been brilliant. The location is superb right on Wenceslas with access to everything you could want. From meeting the receptionists at the beginning all of the staff have been exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. There is an attitude of wanting to improve things constantly. The manager said they are always evolving and trying to improve! The food offering is great and you get 20% off. The great news is we’ve still 3 nights to go!

Centralissimo ma esperienza da 3 stelle

A hotel right in the city center, allowing you to explore Prague on foot. Unfortunately, our room was a huge disappointment. As you can see from the photos, it’s more like a cellar converted into a room. When we booked via the Algotels website, it wasn’t clear that the room would have no view and be on a lower level. When we entered the room, it was sweltering hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature. We called reception, who told us to switch off the air conditioning and open the windows. We had to sleep with the windows open and the sound of an engine just a few meters away. The room was equivalent to a 3-star standard: there was no mirror, the lighting was inadequate, the wardrobe was open, the sheets were too short for the bed, and there was no mattress topper. Breakfast was the only positive point. Even that wasn’t 5-star standard, but it was varied and offered a decent choice. The lady, the hotel’s client manager, to whom we made our complaints, didn’t lift a finger, and the next day, during breakfast, she completely ignored us.One final point: we went up to the rooftop for an aperitif at 10 pm on Saturday evening, sat down, but after waiting 20 minutes with no one asking us what we wanted to drink, we went back down and went to bed in our basement room.Be careful which type of room you book.
