Location

The hotel is situated on the right bank of the Vltava river, between Charles Bridge and the convent of Saint Agnes. Thanks to its ideal location the hotel is near prestigious historical sights such as Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Staroměstské náměstí, the National Theatre, the Jewish Quarter, the synagogues and other interesting sights in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic. Its unique location also offers guests easy access to Pařížská, which is today a luxurious street with many fashion stores and restaurants.

Facility

The hotel was modernised in 2020. Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 140 non-smoking rooms, including 22 junior suites, 3 suites and 75 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Travellers with their own cars can use the parking spaces (for a fee) (subject to availability). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a transfer service, 24-hour room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. A projector is available for guests' business needs. 6 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning (no extra charge) and individually adjustable heating. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A selection of pillows ensures a comfortable stay. Bathrobes and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a whirlpool bath and a bidet. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. 44 family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can recharge and leisurely swim a few laps in the indoor area's heated freshwater pool (no extra charge). The sun loungers are perfect for soaking up some sun. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include a sauna, a steam bath and a hammam or, for a fee, massage treatments. Guests can enjoy live music in a great atmosphere (no extra charge).

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a bar and a piano bar. A generous and varied breakfast buffet (also for early birds and late risers) ensures a great start to the day. At dinner, guests order their favourite dishes à la carte. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes, kosher food, lactose-free food and vegan food are available upon request and for an additional charge. The hotel also offers snacks. For a fee, there are also alcoholic beverages and international brands.

    We had an amazing stay at the President Hotel in Prague. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally helpful, courteous, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were always available to assist with any of our needs. Their local knowledge and recommendations helped us discover some amazing restaurants which made our trip more memorable.The hotel itself was an excellent choice perfectly located for exploring Prague.     Complete lack of flexibility regarding a reservation issue

    The President Hotel offers an excellent location, comfortable rooms, and a pleasant overall stay experience. The hotel itself met my expectations and I enjoyed my time in Prague.However, I was disappointed by the hotel’s complete lack of flexibility regarding a reservation issue.Before arriving in Prague, I realized that I had accidentally booked the correct hotel but for the wrong month. The mistake was entirely mine, and I never asked for a refund, compensation, discount, or any special treatment.Instead, I simply asked whether the reservation date could be changed. I was fully prepared to pay any reasonable rate difference required for the new dates.Unfortunately, the hotel refused any modification whatsoever. Throughout the process, neither the hotel nor the booking platform was willing to offer any practical solution.In the end, I still chose to stay at The President Hotel. Since my original reservation could not be modified, I had to make a completely new booking at the current market rate, which was approximately 25% higher than the amount I had already paid.The financial aspect is not really the issue. What disappointed me was the complete absence of flexibility and goodwill. Hospitality is not only about rooms, facilities, or breakfast. It is also about how guests are treated when honest mistakes occur.I understand that hotels have policies and terms that must be respected. However, there is a significant difference between enforcing a policy and refusing to consider any reasonable solution.Prague is a wonderful city, and I will certainly return in the future.Whether I return to The President Hotel is another question.A hotel can easily replace a guest.What is harder to replace is a guest’s trust.     Great location for a city break. Atmosphere was very good and our room located in 3rd floor with great view to castle was very nice. Services and staff at reception were fantastic and our special thanks goes to Marketa and Karim who were brilliant and helpful in any form or shape during our stay. Much appreciated. 😀
