  Dissapointing ? Superior Room

  We arrived with high expectations, as friends of ours had stayed at the Ascot previously and highly recommended it. We were warmly greeted by Ken at Concierge, who was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay.We did not closely received the room according to the pictures on Booking.Com Unfortunately, the accommodation itself was disappointing. Our first room felt like an attic space where two people could barely move past one another. It was one of the smallest and most poorly planned hotel rooms we have ever experienced. The bathroom design was equally problematic – it was impossible to take a shower without soaking the entire bathroom floor. To make matters worse, none of the room lights worked except for a single bedside lamp.After raising our concerns, we were upgraded to another room, which meant unpacking and repacking our luggage. The second room on the third floor was larger and more comfortable. However, the shower enclosure was poorly designed, with gaps in the glass that allowed water to leak across the bathroom floor and pool next to the toilet after every shower.While the service, particularly from Ken, was excellent, the room design, maintenance issues, and bathroom functionality significantly detracted from what should have been a much more enjoyable stay.   It was a rainy day and we are a little bit to earlier and the receptionist Brayan help us with the room and to become try. It was a perfect welcome.

  Not an inspiring stay

  This was a disappointment. We had booked a Deluxe Double room, but arriving late in the evening (we had told the hotel about this) found ourselves in an attic room overfilled with furniture which left little room to move around because of the sloping roof. We spent our break trying to avoid banging our heads on it. The 'city view' was the concrete gable end of the next building, the desk/ table was shallow with room only for a hospitality tray. There was an elaborate coffee machine, but no instructions to operate it. The very narrow wardrobe had only 4 coat hangers. There was one shelf for shoes and one very high shelf for anything else. No drawers. No bedside tables, only a small shelf where items had to be carefully stacked to accommodate them. The television screen was too large for the room. There was a wooden joist between the bathroom sink and the toilet. These things cannot be dismissed just as the quirks forced by an old building. We asked to see another room in the morning, but were told this was only possible if we packed our bag, left it in the luggage room till another was vacated. No guarantee this would be any better. On the whole, rather than waste a short break, we declined this. The receptionist was quite condescending, treating us like naughty children for daring to complain.So, there must have been something good? Yes, there were some positives. The rest of the staff we met were pleasant. The shower was roomy and had both hand held and rain shower options. There was a heated bathroom floor. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful and good quality with options for various diets. Location is convenient, about 5 minutes from the Metro and near Tivoli Gardens.   Great Central Location for a Convenient City Break

  If you’re looking for a city break, this hotel is very well located in the center of town, close to many restaurants and small grocery shops. The staff are friendly, and although the rooms are small, they are clean and include a safe and a small refrigerator.   Good Location and Nice Rooms

  Nice hotel in a good location just minutes from the metro station. Good little bar with friendly service open until around 11PM. Room was very modern and comfortable. Only issue was lack of really hot water in the shower. Kinda warm, but not to the temperature you desire on a cold morning.
