  Might be the single worst hotel experience i’ve had. The ONE thing a hotel should provide is a good night sleep. This hotel has it’s party rooms / Ball rooms lined up against the rooms where u sleep, so naturally this hotel Can Never Give u a promise of a good night sleep. I asked the reception when the party was stopping and with a could Care but I don’t attitude, the receptionist asked me to try and go to sleep. Good luck sleeping with a ghettoblaster in your face, cause thats the Way it feels. And we didnt book the cheap rooms. However, we would very much like to learn more about your experience and hear from you directly, especially regarding both the noise disturbance and the interaction you describe with our reception team, as this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.When we have events or parties in the hotel, we always do our very best to allocate rooms furthest away from the event areas to guests who are not part of the arrangement, in order to create the most comfortable stay possible for everyone.   ….. an upgrade. The location is a bit of a distance from the Downtown Roskilde. However, if you treat yourself with an upgrade you will get the view of the fjord. Parking is free and there is EV charging available. Maximum 4 hours so forget charging in the night.A bit of a hassle checking in on a tablet. Got a superior room, which was extremely clean with huge tv, with the option to cast.Comfy bed, coffee facilities. No fridge. The hotel is generally with great atmosphere and ambience. It is quite big, and find your way around can be quite difficult.Will be back.   Nice “hyggeligt” Hotel

  We stayed here for 4 nights. Good service at check in. Rooms not meant for a family but otherwise ok. Great breakfast. Full spread. No live cooking stations. Nice car/common area (but closed on Sundays like the room service are too 🤷‍♂️). Remember to book room cleaning when you are there. It does not happen automatically. Will consider coming back next time in Roskilde.   So much potential lost.

  So disappointed with this hotel. It is at a great location, next to the beach with nice views. However there are many negatives:The room is like a sauna in the summer and is tiny. It has a small cupboard with hardly any room for clothing if you find yourself travelling for days. There is also very little room in the bathroom for toiletries.I had the window open and portable fan on to try to cool down both in the daytime and at night, which did not help, so I slept very badly. The room is not cleaned daily. During the day whilst out on the balcony, there was a "fun fitness" class playing very loud awful music whilst the people from that business were dancing and yelling out, around the speakers. I had to move indoors which was a shame as the weather was really nice.Then I tried to work, but couldnt concentrate because of the music was blaring through my open window.Later, there was a drone operator flying next to where my room was, which again made it difficult to concentrate on work.There is also a sense of getting zero help at reception. Bit like, sorry, but there is nothing we can do.It is a business hotel, with team building etc, so there are a lot of corporate people everywhere and events going on during the day.If you are after a nice quiet hotel with a nice view, this is not the place for you. If you want a noisy corporate hotel, then by all means come here, just not when the weather is warm.I do not like writing bad reviews, but this place was not good. I would not stay here again.Positives: breakfast is ok, shower is not bad, although mine was dirty. There is free parking outside the hotel. Plenty of nice restaurants in Roskilde itself. We have simply changed to an on-demand system, where you can request cleaning at any time by scanning the QR code in the room. This allows guests who prefer privacy to enjoy their stay without interruptions, while those who want cleaning can get it when it best suits them. It is not a service we have cut back on, but rather a way to adapt the experience to each guest’s needs.For guests who are sensitive to higher summer temperatures, we recommend our superior rooms, which are equipped with air conditioning and designed with more space for additional comfort.We are also concerned to read your comment about the reception, as helpful and attentive service is something we are normally recognized for. We regret if you did not experience this and will make sure to follow up internally.At the same time, we are pleased that you appreciated the breakfast, shower, and parking facilities, as well as the many lovely restaurants in Roskilde.Once again, thank you for your feedback.   From the sublime to the ridiculous at Comwell Roskilde

  The sublime was the view of the sunset over Roskilde Fjord out the window of room 317. The ridiculous was the shelf in my bathroom - if the Vikings who had built the ships that I saw at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde had been as sloppy with their woodwork, history would have turned out very differently!No kettle/tea and coffee making facilities in my room (unlike the Comwell Borupgaard).The bedhead was up next to the big picture window frame, so no headboard to lean up against to sit in bed and read. For once the giant piles of cushions left on hotel beds served a purpose.Apart from having a wonky shelf, the bathroom was a wet-room style with a shower curtain around the shower area in the middle of the room. Shower water pressure was not what you'd call invigorating.The hotel is a good 2.5km outside Roskilde town, in a residential neighbourhood, so unless you fancy a long walk/cycle/drive, the hotel bar and restaurant are your only handy dining options. When I checked in I was told the restaurant was full, but could eat at the bar. While I enjoyed my falafel and cabbage salad, the sauce/dressing on the salad was not as advertised - the menu referred to haydari (Turkish yoghurt sauce) and mint dressing. I asked for no mint dressing. My salad came with a Japanese style sesame sauce (which I love) however, if you have any allergies I suggest you make that very clear before ordering. A good Comwell breakfast (a waffle machine here as at the Comwell Borupgaard in Helsingor), and good selection of fresh fruit, breads, eggs etc. Michelle Lüneborg-Schnack, Guest Services / Front Office at Comwell Roskilde, responded to this review Dear EleanorC_11Thank you for sharing your detailed impressions of your stay.
