  Great, but smelly!

  The staff were fantastic, the room was a great size and the hotel in a great location. The room had a very bad smell drains/sewer gas coming from the bathroom, which was very unpleasant. Given the room was £170 a night, I expected better. On the 1st night, it was quite noisy from other guests above me, but otherwise was quiet. The town feels very safe and I walked back from Epic Fest to the hotel alone at 1:30am without any trouble.I liked that the hotel had a manned reception 24hrs too.

  Stayed at the Sheraton 4-points on a walking tour in Roskilde, Denmark - right in the heart of the downtown. APU in Europe, no AC, but 3rd floor window opened and we had a fan. Elevator only to 2d floor, then stairs, so pack light! Great breakfast and fabulous coffee machine!! Professional friendly staff speak English, and let us stow our dinner leftovers the last night in their Kitchen fridge. Recommend.

  Hotel Prindsen Roskilde D.K I booked a room on 02/08/25 I got room 228 below me was a party room (Disco) I went to bed at 23.00 at 01 I wake up, full disco in the room below me, Who can sleep??   My worst experience of ever

  The photos on Booking.com do not accurately reflect the condition of the hotel. The building is quite old, with no elevator, and check-in (even though it's okay to have room access available later) is not possible before 2 pm. There is no restaurant on-site, so you're forced to find food elsewhere. The worst part is the room quality. The rooms are small, and the bathroom resembles something you'd find in a hostel, with just a drain for the shower and no proper shower area. I would recommend avoiding this place.   Disgusting room (#129), but great location.

  I have really conflicting opinions of this hotel. First the positive: the location is great and the exterior of the building is very charming. It’s right in the pedestrian area of Roskilde and is super central to everything. We were able to enjoy Roskilde and quickly and easily hop a train to Copenhagen. The hotel has a nice patio in the front to enjoy the sun too. The lobby and breakfast are are recently renovated and are enjoyable to have a cocktail or coffee in. Breakfast in the hotel was good, pretty standard. Now the bad: This was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stayed in and I am well travelled. This isn’t an exaggeration. The pics on the website are very misleading. Be warned. The “family room” we stayed in was no bigger than a standard room at a competing hotel, it just had a sleeper sofa crammed in. This room lacked basic amenities you would expect from any hotel room I have ever stayed in. Ex. No closet, no storage space, no basic toiletries, no small towels or face clothes, no safe, no ventilation, no a/c, no sound proofing. The room was also SO dirty, to the point that we hung out in the lobby instead of relaxing in the room. The floors were very dirty carpeting and the walls were visibly dirty with stains and holes in all the walls. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned properly in several years. As well, the shower (if you could call it that) had a dry drain and after about 4 Hours from showering it would dry up and smell like sewer. The shower had no threshold and a squeegee was provided to mop up the flood that showering would cause. The toilet was stained, the only plug in the bathroom was in the shower (I am not even kidding). Finally, this hotel is also an event location. Our room was right next to the ballroom area and the first night, was like trying to sleep in a night club. It went on until well past 2am with screaming kids running the halls, pumping music and people outside our windows. This repeated our 3rd night too.Within an hour or so of checking in I asked about the star of ten room and the noise, but was told the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t do anything about the noise. We paid a few hundred euros / night for this room and I would have left immediately if we could have found any other room to move to in the vicinity. But all the hotels were fully booked and we didn’t want to let it ruin our holiday. In the end we only slept in the room. I can’t express how horrible this room was. I have stayed at roadside motels in the USA for 30$/night that were 5 times cleaner and with better amenities than this room. I live in Northern Europe and travel often. My standards are based on the rating of each hotel. This was a 0 star room at a 3 star hotel. This room should be an embarrassment to this establishment and no guest should be booked into this room again until a thorough cleaning is completed.
