This hotel is located directly in the centre of Copenhagen, only minutes away from the famous Tivoli and the town hall square. The famous shopping street of Stroget, with numerous shopping facilities and entertainment venues, can be reached within only a few minutes on foot. The sea is around 15 minutes away with public transport, and the nearest beach is around a 20-minute drive away. Further sightseeing attractions of the city, such as the Carlsberg brewery, the parliament building Christiansborg, the royal castle Amalienborg or the statue of the little mermaid, are all with 3 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport are to be found just a few minutes' walk away with the main train station located about 500 m away. Transfer to Copenhagen Airport takes about 15 minutes (roughly 8.5 km).

Facility

The hotel was built in 1906. 6 suites, 8 single rooms and 52 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service and a laundry service. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available. Lectures, presentations and meetings can be held in one of the 2 conference rooms.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products.     Very disappointing customer service. I requested cancellation shortly after booking and well before the stay date, but the hotel showed zero flexibility. Communication was not solution-oriented at all. I would not book here again.

    Nice, simple hotel. Cute room and beautiful building. However, the bathroom was in need of deep clean, since the shower and mixer were partially clogged by lime, the caulk had yellowed and it looked moldy in places. There also weren't many appliances, and only one pillow per person, which was perfectly fine for us, but it doesn't give that elevated hotel-feel.The location was good, close to the Central station as well as bars, restaurants and cafées.It being an old building, we could clearly hear when guests in the room above used their shower, and anything that went on in the hallway outside, with many scares that someone would walk into our room, when they were opening their own doors. Eventually, the cleaner actually did open our door while we were still in bed, 40 minutes before check-out, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and violating. Hopefully that was a first and last though.The bar is quite cosy, but unfortunately not many guests seemed to enjoy it while we were there. Their free wine glass-offer between 5-6 p.m. was appreciated!

    If you are going to stay here make sure the price is good. I paid $576 u.s. dollars for three nights and it was too high for what I got. The bathroom was subpar--the toilet was right against the wall and the "shower" was a curtain put up diagonally across the tiled bathroom held up by a very cheap curtain rod that kept falling down. The room was clean, it was pretty quiet, but the bathroom was the problem. The hallway is narrow and dark and that carpet had stains. There is no refrigerator, no outside food allowed. The bar downstairs also does not serve food (other than popcorn and another snack type food).They do not clean rooms unless you ask, and if you do ask you're advised they will only make the bed and wipe down surfaces but they don't use any water. I didn't ask them to clean my room because what's the point.The location is ok - 10 minute walk from central station.There was no special event going on in Copenhagen while I was there that would have increased the room price. When I got home I checked price for the following week for the same days of the week I was there (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) and the prices were much lower using a third party app like booking.com than what I paid. I always try to book directly with the hotel but in this case that did not work in my favor. When I contacted hotel after I was home to ask about the price and voice my dissatisfaction with bathroom they just said they wished I had let them know I wasn't happy with bathroom while I was here (I did ask front desk to put the shower curtain back up ONE of the times it fell).Bottom line is I wouldn't stay here again and if you do make sure your price is reasonable with what you'll get.

    The hotel was lovely very Scandi- modern and comfy, The staff were fantastic and always on hand to help.Free coffie in the morning was a bonus. And free wine hour in the evening was a nice touch Bedrooms small but perfect for a weekend stay.We will return for certain .Thanks

    If you want to go to the perfect world - then don’t go here. Personally I have travelled - a lot - and been here and there; in many locations. Hotel Savoy in Copenhagen has nothing - and yet it has everything!!!!It is just pleasant and has that danish kind of - HYGGE! And on top…just pleasantly welcomming attitude and embracing you with familiarity. Now it is a simple stay like this, that gives you memories and resembles as a visit to your cousin - not the best beds, nor sleeps or anything - but somehow this is part of the experience to you best more (though every room is as equipped as Hotel Admiral). The staff - makes any guest completely embraced and services at any time.Free hospitality, drinks of every kind, international library - well all is with its limitations - but nothing is missing. Easy, well and served with all that you essential need. But the staff is the absolutely highlight!
