Wonderful stay at Scandic CPH Strandpark

We had a wonderful stay at Scandic CPH Strandpark. Their Master Suites are great and the view from the sky bar is magnificent! There was a minor challenge with some of the hotel's amenities (due to no fault of the hotel) when we stayed there but the hotel's friendly and professionel staff found a solution to secure that we had a perfect stay.

A quiet airport hotel in Copenhagen, very fine and new.

Close to the airport and close to the coast you findthis new hotel. Uber coata 100 DKK from the airport,and there is also a shuttle bus on request. Some rooms are small, but still fine. Good beds and nice bathrooms. Typical Scandic breakfast, and that is very good.

Room is comfortable and location 10 mins from the airport. However, it doesn't feel like a 4 star establishment. No coffee or tea in the room, you have to go to reception, pay and make yourself one.No fridge in the room, and no bottled water. You have to go to reception, pay for one and take it out of the fridge.Rooms don't get cleaned and towels changed unless you ask reception a day ahead, and pay for it.No room service available, you have to go to the bar and/or restaurant Room air con is inexistentRoom has no phone, free WiFi is available but you would struggle working from itThere is no window or extraction fan in the bathroom. No face towels, shower cap & no tissuesSky bar has potential but a simple (unbranded) gin and tonic sets you back £18.30, and a Campari is not much less, nuts get charged ~£7/serving. Food not great either I'm afraid

Housekeeping need to step up

The room I was given at check in wasnt cleaned, sure that was easy to fix but still, how is it possible? They dont clean the room, not even change towels, unless you ask them to - one day in advance. Breakfast was good, easy to walk to/from the airport or metro into town. Internet was good.Layout of room/bathroom was good.Would I stay here again? Only if the price was right. Excellent option for overnight stay

Although there are 2 hotel in the airport the Scandic is just a 5 minute shuttle ride away. Hotel shuttle from Terminal 2 signage is well marked after baggage claim. At one point you think you've lost the signage but just look across the road for smaller signage. Shuttle runs at 15 and 45 minutes. It is possible to reserve the shuttle well. Reservations recommended for your return trip to the airport. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Decent size bathroom and shower. No kettle or fridge. There is a restaurant on site however we walked 1 minute to Kystens Perle. Look for the large gold building to the right as you exit the hotel. Walk through the parking lot to reach. Back at the hotel treat yourself to a nightcap af the Skybar on the 11th floor. Lots of comfortable seating and a talented mixologist who can do more than pour a pint or glass of wine.
