Great location, vast breakfast range, lovely facilities and awesome staff

    rating28 Jun 2026

Scandic Spectrum is a very good hotel. It's an easy walk into the centre of town plus there are bikes for hire everywhere which is the best way to get around. The staff were welcoming and helpful at check-in and dealt with our needs well. Paying after dinner one night was painfully slow though, but we got there in the end. The rooms were decent with a comfortable bed and well-maintained bathroom. Aircon was a godsend as our trip coincided with a heatwave. The hotel is on across the road from the waterfront where it is free to sunbathe and swim so that was another bonus. Breakfast was plentiful, with a huge choice of items and was very tasty. We also used the wellness suite which has a very zen swimming/relaxation area. It was lovely for some quiet time after a hectic and hot day exploring the city. This was an additional charge of £34 for 2 hours. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Scandic Spectrum. It's fairly expensive at c. £250 per night but Denmark accomodation is pricy so they are competitive with the market for this grade of accomodation.

The Nordbo Bar was excellent. Federico and Alfonso took great care of us, made delicious cocktails, and were very friendly.

Modern hotel close to city center

    rating21 Jun 2026

Modern hotel with plenty of elevators (no queue) and clean new rooms with plenty of facilities. Continental and american breakfast available. Only warning is room-cleaning must be booked one day in advance. Hotel staff is very helpful.

    Stuffy Rooms and wet floors

    rating20 Jun 2026

This hotel kinda sucks man. When we arrived, the desk guy basically lied about what time breakfast was, causing us to get up earlier than we wanted on our first day. Then the room was stuffy as hell and there were basically no environmental controls or a window that would open. I wasn't expecting AC, but when I called down to say the circulation fan wasn't working, he told me that infact, it was! Oh silly me, I must be wrong about the room I'm in.The room itself had a ton of slightly obnoxious issues; the trash can was tiny, we weren't given enough towels, they provided ONLY heavy blankets, the shower didn't have a lip so the floors were constantly wet and felt slimy. The hotel itself was issues too: the rental bikes were 4x as expensive as the local ones. They wanted the equivalent of $40 to even USE the pool, and for some reason you have to book "Wellness" through their stupid app. The lobby was strange and uninviting. The elevators made no damn sense, there was like six of them and for some reason only 1 of them was ever operating, requiring you to jam into the tiny elevator with a bunch of sneezing tourists. The breakfast buffet, though tasty was a clusterf*ck. There's no flow to the traffic, so you spend your morning bumping around with old inconsiderate women moving backwards against the line. The juice was GROSS and sugary. The whole thing was high-touch surfaces and chaos. Ugh.I couldn't wait to check out of here. Cannot recommend.
