  Modern hotel in a prime location

  We visited Copenhagen for the first time to attend the recent Pokémon GoFest at Fælledparken.For us, our stay at the WIDE hotel was faultless! The hotel is a beautiful, modern hotel in a prime location - walking distance to most attractions, and is close to central station for efficient airport transfers. Staff were professional and friendly at every interaction. Everyone also spoke English which made for easy communication! The room was lovely, and had everything you could need (ironing board, iron, hairdryer, coffee machine, mini bar fridge). The bed was one of the best we have slept in, very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious with ample choice - definitely worth upgrading to B&B if considering it. NB- I have seen this mentioned in some previous reviews - The hotel is situated opposite the pumpehuset (concert venue), If a lively environment with various music genres playing is not your scene, I wouldn't rule this hotel out on this basis - instead, I would recommend asking for a room towards the rear of the hotel. The music plays until late, however, we found the noise was minimal despite being in a room overlooking the venue. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would return here on a repeat visit to the area. Thank you for hosting us.   A Deeply Disappointing Stay – Avoid at All CostsOur recent stay at Hildebrandt Hammer Hotels was profoundly underwhelming. Despite its polished branding and claims of Danish heritage, the reality was far from the charm and professionalism one might expect.Upon arrival, the reception team set the tone — scruffy, indifferent, and entirely lacking in hospitality. Requests for assistance with three large suitcases, first to navigate the elevated entrance and then to reach our sixth‑floor room through a maze‑like layout, were met with blunt refusals. “We don’t do that.” “We can’t leave reception.” No effort to help, no courtesy, no service.The property itself is in a state of neglect. Public areas and elevators appear untouched by cleaning for years, and our room was shabby, worn, and visibly dirty.Breakfast was equally dismal — a sparse, joyless offering served in a large, soulless room reminiscent of a train‑station waiting area. Staff moved about with grim expressions and an unmistakable air of disinterest.In short, this hotel is a masterclass in poor hospitality. Unkempt staff, tired facilities, and a pervasive lack of care make for a thoroughly miserable experience. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.   Relaxing Stay

  This is a lovely quiet hotel, in a great location, the staff are helpful & the breakfast is very good, with lots of choice. There is a very nice bar downstairs too. The rooms & bathrooms are spacious, modern & clean, but lack storage a little bit.   Excellent Location, Great Stay

  I found this hotel by chance, looking to book a last minute week away. The price upon booking was great, especially for a week Upon arrival, only a 5 minute walk from Copenhagen Central station, i dropped off my bag in their bag store in the basement and set off to explore the city. I got back to the hotel at 6pm and checked-in. Check in was smooth and easy, the staff at reception were friendly and courteous. My room was on the second floor and had a view down onto Studiestræde and Pimphuset, a concert venue opposite. The room was cosy, with a king sized bed, small desk and chair, compact bathroom with a shower and small console bar the door with a fridge, coffee machine and safe. The bed was very comfortable though the duvet was somewhat smaller than the bed. There was small amount of background noise but not off-putting. The windows had long blackout curtains so the room was almost completely pitch black with all lights off. The room and indeed the entire hotel was exceptionally clean and well presented. The hotel had a small bar in the lobby, which was lively without being too busy. Drink prices were very reasonable. The location is perfect. In addition to the station being only 5 minutes away, Copenhagen's central square, Rådhuspladsen, is just around the corner and is replete with restaurants, bars and cafes. Stroget, the longest pedestrian street in the world, starts from the east side of Rådhuspladsen and is lined with fantastic shops and eateries. Tivoli, the second oldest amusement park in the world is also 5 minutes walk away and is absolutely wonderful.Wide Hotel is a great place to stay and perfectly located.   Wide Hotel delivers a stay that consistently exceeds expectations—very much a 5-star experience under a 4-star label.The location is one of its strongest assets. Perfectly positioned, it allows easy walking access to key parts of the city, including Nyhavn, National Museum of Denmark, and Christiansborg Palace, as well as a wide range of restaurants and shops. It strikes that rare balance of being central without feeling chaotic.The property itself is impressively well maintained. Rooms are clean, modern, and tastefully designed with a fashionable, contemporary aesthetic. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully put together, from the entrance to the public areas, which are equally clean and inviting.In-room amenities are another highlight. The presence of a high-quality coffee machine and practical touches like an ironing board reflect attention to real guest needs rather than just appearances. It’s a room designed to be both comfortable and functional.Service is consistently strong—staff are attentive, helpful, and professional without being overbearing, contributing to an overall smooth and welcoming experience.Perhaps most notably, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. For its location, condition, and level of comfort, Wide Hotel offers very strong value in a city that is not known for being inexpensive.All things considered, this is an easy recommendation.
