  Great relaxing experience

  I spent a relaxing week at Hodelpa Garden Suites and was thoroughly impressed by the resort. Entering the property was the initial positive experience as it is located in a beautiful gated community around Metro Country Club, the pro shop is a short walk from the hotel. I entered the hotel and the front desk staff were wonderful and helpful, outstanding people with sunny dispositions. My room was spacious and clean with 2 televisions, very comfortable suite. The food exceeded my expectations and there was always something great to eat. The grill staff and waiters were friendly and attentive. The pool area was relaxing and rarely crowded, Pedro does an exceptional job at keeping the pool in pristine condition….he is also a nice and friendly person. The animation team would dance several times a day at the pool. Rosey is a very kind person and made certain that I attended the Michael Jackson show. It was a great performance with dance moves and acrobatics, I am happy that I saw it. A special thank you to Rosey who is a tremendous employee and a great individual. My housekeeper was Leidy and she kept the room sparkling clean and took care of any requests for extra water bottles. I had a perfect relaxing week at the hotel thanks to the setting, pool, food and most of all the incredible employees at the property. Thank you and I will definitely return.   I would only recommend this hotel if you want to relax, as it's very quiet and boring. The buffet has no variety and is very small. There was never any staff at the bars to serve me; I had to find someone to get me a drink. We were given incorrect information about the late-night snack hours and missed it because of it. The next night, they served empty nachos, and when I asked about the cheese or dip, they told me the kitchen staff had already left (during the late-night snack hours). It seems they just put food there to get rid of you. The television is old and didn't have a Fire TV to watch Netflix or any other streaming service. It only showed regular TV programs, and to entertain tourists without any nightly shows or anything, they should at least have that. The mini-fridge only had two bottles of water, not a single soda or anything. The room only has one electrical outlet, so if two people are staying, the other has to charge their phone outside the room. There's no jacuzzi, not even in the main pool. They offer activities like target shooting, but they're not available. Our stay was very boring. They don't have a beach, although they have transportation to take you there; you're subject to their schedule.On the positive side, the beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly.   I was referred to the location by a friend and associate. I travel routinely and occasionally need accommodations near the airport. I spent two days there and had a great time in addition to given great attention to ensure I was comfortable and had everything that I needed to be comfortable . I will return there on my subsequent visits and recommend it to others. I also found it helpful that much of the staff is bilingual and outgoing in making my stay enjoyable, from the dining experience and service from Yamika to the the bellmen and other hospitality staff.
