This hotel is amazing. This is the first time we stayed at a non all inclusive. I enjoyed this much more. Everything was clean, both in our rooms, pool area and the grounds were impressive. There was never a problem with getting beach chairs, a meal or a drink. The location is perfect. Live like locals when you’re out on the streets. Enjoy all the restaurants down the beach.Looking forward to 2027!

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel right on the beach. Restaurant is excellent, staff very attentive and friendly. Didn’t use the surf school but heard from others it is excellent. Liked the beach towel exchange. Only downside, we were at the Front of the hotel and there was a lot of road noise at night, especially on the weekend. Also no elevator. 6 flights of stairs almost finished my knees. We will return but will ask for a beach view room in the 2 lower floors

Had a wonderful stay

Stayed here on a trip to visit a family friend. I was initially a bit hesitant having never left the USA not staying in a resort or speaking much Spanish, but I was very pleased with my experience and know that I'll be back. There are at least two buildings that are part of the property. The ocean view building has the million-dollar views of the beach and the restaurant/pool, but the building nearer to the street is slightly cheaper and not a whole lot different. We had two rooms - one in the ocean view building and one in the set-back building - and both were wonderful. Even in the set-back building, the walk to the pool/bar/beach took no longer than 2 minutes. I found the room in my fourth-floor balcony room abundant - a bit too big for a single person, even. Be warned - elevators don't seem to exist in Cabarete, so mobility-challenged travelers should request ground floor rooms. Serenade, the on-site restaurant, is very good and priced in line with other options on the beach. Kewil, the bartender who works most nights, is awesome - as are most of the other stadd. You could easily spend a week here dining only at Serenade and have plenty of choices, but the whole beach is lined with restaurants, and nothing is super pricey (at least coming from USA). Housekeeping comes every day here unless you ask them not to, and they will change any towels you leave on the floor, make the beds, and bring water bottles. Although the lobby has a sign about water purity, nobody in Cabarete drinks the tap water - so the complimentary hotel bottled water is very much appreciated. Also - be careful with the bathrooms. The plumbing here (and apparently in a lot of Cabarete) is not super great, so many people recommend throwing any used paper products in the trash rather than flushing. The toilets will absolutely clog easily if paper is put in them.Google Maps doesn't really do this area justice at all due to the lack of roads - I had planned to be crossing a road to get to the beach based on what I saw on the map. Turns out the "road" was a back alley between buildings - never any vehicles and a very easy walk. Cabarete in general is very easy to navigate, and this hotel is definitely no exception. Less about the hotel but a word of warning to those who've never been here before - there are a lot of vendors walking up and down the beach most of the day selling cigars and jewelery and braiding and various other things. The beach here is not fenced off, so vendors will come up to you within the hotel's slice of beach - most take "no" very well and will keep walking, but a few will really put on a show to make a sale. Just keep saying "no".

We love the location. The breakfast and employees are great. The beds are only medium comfortable. Room has space.

We love the location. Employees and breakfast are great. The room has enough storage space. Mattresses a bit too hard.
