    I want to start by saying how much I truly enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Hotel. From the moment you arrive, the service begins immediately, with a warm greeting from the bellman who is ready to assist you. The front desk staff are attentive and welcoming, and that level of care continues throughout the entire stay.Housekeeping does an excellent job keeping the rooms spotless and comfortable. Room service was efficient, and when I had clothes sent for dry cleaning and laundry, everything was returned promptly and in perfect condition. I also really enjoyed the service from the pool bar staff and the restaurant team, who were both friendly and professional.The view from the 18th floor was breathtaking — I loved being able to watch both the sunrise and sunset from my room.What truly made my stay unforgettable was a special birthday surprise. I received a knock on my door, and the hotel staff presented me with a beautiful strawberry cheesecake with a candle and “Happy Birthday” written in Spanish in chocolate. It brought tears to my eyes to be recognized in such a thoughtful way by the hotel. It was a wonderful moment that I will always cherish.This hotel truly knows how to do hospitality the right way, and I would gladly stay here again.     Friendly Luxury Hotel in Santo Domingo city

    A one night stay with my wife after arriving at the Airport before onward journey to Puerto Plata.The hotel was everything I would expect of an Intercontinental with large, well fitted out rooms, good F&B facilities and friendly staff. Given some of the surrounding area is very busy, the hotel was an oasis of calm with good views over downtown Santo Domingo from the higher floors.The Club Lounge was excellent on the 21st floor. Melvin and Ariel made us feel very welcome and there was an excellent choice of canapés in the evening as well as a relaxing atmosphere to take breakfast in the next morning.Mr Sebastian was super efficient and helpful in the main breakfast area and whilst acting as Front of House on Reception. Nina handled our check-in and was knowledgeable about the IHG rewards programme.Overall, a pleasant stay which I would happily repeat.     My First Stay!

    I first visited this hotel in November 2016, and thought that it was beautiful. I finally stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Upon arrival, I was met by Pascuale, bellman, who had recognized me from years ago when he worked at another local hotel. Shaquille checked me in and was very personable and helpful. Anthonelly, The Market restaurant manager, was also personable and helpful. Enjoyed great food in the restaurant and room service. The room was beautiful and spacious and included a bathtub and shower. The common areas are beautiful, airy and spacious. The gym looks very nice and also has a spa and salon. Conveniently located near upscale malls and a huge grocery store, La Sirena. I would highly recommend this hotel. Loved it!
