    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A hidden gem in Santo Domingo! Hotel Napolitano offers a fantastic location right by the Malecón, with comfortable rooms, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff made me feel at home. I would definitely stay here again.     I Always stay at the Napolitano hotel in santo domingo. Have been staying there for over ten years. Great rooms, nice pool and Jose at the terrace restaurant is the best. Easy check in an check out. Looking forward to going back in march. thanks Lance

    I had a horrible experience in this particular hotel. I personally wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I had a late check-in and when I went to my room and after a long day I decided to take a shower and seen this which was obvious dissatisfying and very disgusting if you ask me. I had to call the lobby and it took approximately 30-45 to get everything fixed. And if you thought that was all it was only the beginning… the lights kept constantly turning on and off and around 5 am I couldn’t take it anymore all source of electricity was gone for 45 mins and the heat was very discomforting. Around 8am all electricity was gone once again it took a hour before everything was back to normal and to make matters worst the water would stop working once the source of power is gone. I was very upset about the whole situation and didn’t want to waste anymore time there had a early check out and went to lobby to get any sort of refund based of the horrible service I’ve experienced and all I got was a waiver to make sure it won’t happen again when none of it should’ve happen in the first place. 😐

    hotel was fine. on checkout, they claimed that I, and a friend in a different room, had taken things from the minibar.we did not.We both travel for business frequently, and both have a policy of never using the minibar.They held us for 25 minutes on checkout, until we just walked away. They were positive we took these things.In my case, a bottle of water. Then they called me days later in New York, and NOW they added a bottle of coke, peanuts and pistachios to the items they claimed at checkout. Either they have a poor system of inventory management, a thief sketching the minibars, or a systemic shake-down of patrons. They also claimed that my friend opened and closed, without consuming an aloe drink and put it back.beware.     As always, there are lovely views from the rooms over the ocean. As expected those views come with the noise of the highway running along the Malecon. On check in, the gentlemen was helpful, including arranging COVID tests for my friend and I, needed to fly back to the States.What was not expected was you could not charge food or drinks at the pool to the room. So be it. What was not expected was being charged $40 on my credit card for food and drink that they said I used from the mini-bar. This included $5 for a large bottle of water that I had brought with me from Las Terrenas, and mysterious pistachios. And they were hostile, including coming close to being physically threatening, insisting that I pay. I did not, and of course they charged my card.This place is not what it was. I have been coming to the DR for over 30 years, and have family from the Capital. I will go back, but never to the Hotel Napolitano.
