Guests at this large property have the choice between 8 villas/houses or 230 rooms, including 8 junior suites and 193 double rooms, which are located in two 4-storey buildings. In the air-conditioned hotel, guests are welcomed in the lobby with -hour reception desk and a -hour check-in/check-out service. Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure comfortable indoor temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A kitchenette with a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience.     Arrived late due to flight problems, which is apparently not unusual. The hotel is accessed via a frequent and efficient boat from the mainland. Fortunately the restaurant was open so we had a pleasant light meal. The room was excellent in size, comfort and cleanliness. The only negative was an ill fitting window which the wind howled through like a banshee on our first night, fortunately the wind abated for the second nightBeautiful gardens around the hotel and a lovely pool area with bar.Second night we ate in the panorama restaurant which has unrivalled views of the city. We had an excellent meal and great service, highly recommend a visit here. Nike perch was delicious!

    Absolutely fabulous location and views from the room down the Nile were amazing. Staff in the hotel were all excellent. The breakfasts and food in the restaurants were first class, pool area and life guard and bar staff brilliant and very attentive and super friendly. Really recommend for families and couples or solo travellers who want to see Egypt history and new Egypt and all it has to offer! Great vibe and such fun going over to the hotel by boat running every 5 minutes … perfect.     The Movenpick is located on an island with fantastic views of the West Bank of the Nile. You get to the hotel with a free water taxi. We stayed in the new wing which was very pleasant. We didn't visit the old part of the hotel.The Egyptian restaurant was excellent and had very friendly staff. The rooms are good with a spacious shower and balcony.
