Ok if you're not a light sleeper; stay away if you're noise sensitive or have dietary restrictions!

    rating18 Jan 2026

First of all, I want to say that the STAFF at Royal Pyramids Inn were truly amazing. If my rating were based on staff alone, I would easily give this place 5 STARS — largely thanks to YOUSSE, who went far above and beyond anything one could reasonably expect.Right at the beginning of our stay, my mother lost an important bag containing essential medication. Youssef worked tirelessly until around 3 a.m. to replace all of it — including prescription-only medication. I'm incredibly grateful to him for his dedication, responsibility, and genuine care. In a very stressful situation, he handled everything with calmness, empathy, and determination, and that made a huge difference for us! The positives:Besides the incredible staff, the rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely presented. The beds themselves were comfortable, and overall the hotel felt well maintained for its category. However, my main issue — and the reason I can’t recommend this hotel — is the noise. The property is located directly next to a massive highway, and our rooms were not insulated at all. The noise level made it feel like sleeping right by the road itself. As a light sleeper, this meant I could not sleep at all without heavily medicating myself, which I strongly dislike doing. If you are sensitive to noise, stay away from this hotel! The breakfast buffet offered a reasonable variety, but almost no suitable options for lactose-intolerant guests (like me) or vegans (for that matter). The few things I could eat did not taste particularly good. The only standout was the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was excellent.Considering the price, you may get what you pay for. Our tour provider booked the hotel for us otherwise I would have not stayed here.We also left for one night and returned for another stay. We were explicitly promised a soundproofed room upon our return, but were placed in a room that was just as noisy — if not worse. This broken promise ultimately affected my rating. Had this been handled differently, I would have rated the hotel 3 stars.

Very good service. All the staff was so kind. The cuisine was value for money but they get better.Spending our night in the rood, which had a stunning, magical view of pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum. It was the best hotel spot of the city. I fully recommended.

The room is nice the staff Mariam and Sayed at the front desk are so helpful. The room was nice and the view from the room was stunning. Thank you. I stayed in room 305, the view from the room was so beautul face directly to the Pyramid of Giza. You may see the sunrise and also sunset from the restaurant of this hotel in the rooftop called Akemi restaurant. The breakfast also good Worth of Money and nice🙏

Thanks to all staff for supporting our group, especially Ameer, Ameerah, Yousif and Bassem. Ameer went out of his way to give us the local experience, showing us around Cairo. I hope to come back again soon!

    Great little hotel

    rating12 Dec 2023

Fantastic value. Pretty basic but clean and comfortable. The big plus here is the team running it. It’s a family and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Food and beer if you wish is brought in except breakfast which is done in house and is delicious but simple. The views are amazing, you’re yards from the pyramids gate, but some local construction has intruded just a bit. A previous review mentioned the state of the lane accessing the hotel. This has now been sorted and it’s now paved (the owners of a few local properties clubbed together to get it done) and very clean. I’d strongly recommend you book all your trips through the owner Mohammed. OK, you’ll probably pay a bit more but the guys he uses as guides and drivers are trusted friends or family and it’s in his interest to not organise a bad day out. Rambo in particular was great. Corruption and hassling tourists is big ticket stuff here, using trusted guys will ensure you don’t get ripped off when out and about. You’ll save money and grief in the long run!Overall, great value, lovely people, basic but safe, clean and I’d be back in a heartbeat. Thanks to all the team there for a wonderful experience.
