    Extremely Noisy Room

    The hotel is well located at the back street from Avenida Paulista avoiding the noise of the main street. The room is spacious enough and I like the balcony even though the view wasn’t best in the world and the balcony basically had no privacy as it was exposed both to the outside and upper floor room.No complaints about the cleanliness of the room. Although it was a bit annoying that house keeping did not come to my room after I left at 1pm even though I left a sign. The breakfast wasn’t the richest I’ve had at a Mercure hotel but it was okay. The staff were also nice and helpful (except the gentleman who brought my room service order who gave me an attitude for not tipping. Sorry but it’s bit annoying to be expected to be spreading money around at everyone for each breath I take in the hotel)The biggest issue with the room was the air conditioning noise. Even with the AC off the engine is running 24/7 making sleeping a very hard task for someone sensitive to noise while sleeping. I couldn’t sleep without ear plugs and even with them I could still feel the vibrations of the engine.I am not sure if this is the case with rooms or it was just my luck, but for sure this needs to be taken into consideration and I don’t think I will come back here because of that Rosilene W, General Manager at Mercure Sao Paulo Paulista, responded to this review Dear HamzissThank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us.     After a long flight it was great to get a good welcome. They prioritised getting our rooms ready as we were so early. And we had an interconnecting room, which was perfect for our family. The staff gave us some great tips for activities/places to visit and their left luggage service was also really useful.     Never more Mercure Paulista

    Took this hotel for a business trip instead of the Radisson Paulista(cheaper and includes in base rate breakfast) Had to pay a full day (Radisson just charge half!) just because I came from an international flight early in the morning… Got a nice room but that DOES NOT HAVE A WORKING WI-FI!!! Have been asking the hotel 4(!) times and still is not working. I need to work, so I am obliged to use my international roaming. Nobody from hotel takes responsibility, they just hand this issue to maintenance department and the maintenance to the It support, back and forth. Today, after my 4th complaint, reception promised that somebody will come to re-check the apartment (first time was last night) , but still no one has come … this is a joke for such a hotel. So If you really need to work or have to use Wi-Fi in the room, skip this hotel, take the Radisson a couple of blocks away. I will also inform my company who has an agreement with this lousy chain.     This hotel is my favorite. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating, I’m greeted with a smile by every staff member I come across with. The rooms are clean and quite. The food in the restaurant and room service are great. Can’t say enough about the staff. Thank you.
