    I have been visiting the villa for the past eight years on a very regular basis. My friends and I often meet for lunch & dinner. We have suggested the establishment to many, many expat friends over the years. It has always been a trusted place of sanctuary and cleanliness with very nice staff who made our visits memorable and happy. BUT, over the last eighteen months and especially recently it has changed beyond recognition. Waiters look dirty, table cloths dirty, table plants dead, no music, charging for ice, to name a few quite serious issues if this place is going to stay high class and beautiful. Please don’t loose the core of the business by expanding and not focusing on little special things that make it what it is.

    Beautiful and authentic property in local area of Cairo

    This really is a beautiful and authentic property. The hotel / villa is set across two buildings (both buildings have pools). All of our three rooms were super large (two had kitchenette’s) and appointed with period furniture and pieces. The restaurant is also very popular with locals and the food and outdoor environment was beautiful. The breakfast spread was delicious, super fresh and plentiful (the baked cakes were amazing). We loved the local area of Maadi and Uber were easy to get to the main downtown area. Would highly recommend.

    Wonderful hotel with fantastic rooms, staff, food and other facilities. Very atmospheric and decorated in a lovely period style. The location is out of the way and it is very quiet. Lots of Egyptian customers which was lovely to see. Great value for food and a massive shout out to the breakfasts and the staff who are so attentive and friendly

    A very comfortable hotel in a quiet area with excellent breakfast. They even had decaffeinated coffee and could make omlettes to order

    We found this property to be a refuge in Cairo.Attentive staff, immaculate property, great food and a wonderful room in the new wing.A colonial appearing property, but contemporary fittings and furnishings.Every person on staff was friendly and/or helpful, from the gardeners to the chef the front desk staff.Clearly a well run establishment, we would be hard pressed to want to look for anything else next visit to Cairo.Did I mention, the food for breakfast and dinner was great.
