Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, families and singles, this resort lies in Makadi Bay, right on a sandy beach that gently slopes into the water. Guests can reach the nearest shops in about 22 km.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2025. Guests have a choice of 869 non-smoking rooms, including 6 suites and 610 double rooms. Friendly staff are available at the reception desk. A baggage storage service and a cash machine are available. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). The resort offers a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services include a 24-hour security service, medical assistance, a laundry service, a page service and a hotel doctor.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room and a bathroom. Air conditioning (no extra charge) ensures comfortable temperatures. Guests have a view of the pool from the balcony or terrace, which are standard amenities of some rooms. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe and a minibar are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a bidet. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered a selection of towels. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool (no extra charge), children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A waterslide provides fun for all ages. Sun loungers and parasols on the sun terrace create a perfect space for guests to relax and unwind. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy tennis and basketball. For a fee, paddle tennis is also available. Guests can enjoy a range of water sports, such as aquafit or, for a fee, kitesurfing, snorkelling and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including table tennis, yoga and pilates. Various wellness options, such as a spa, a hammam, a beauty salon, thalassotherapy treatments, aromatherapy, cellulite treatment, a reflexology massage and a hydrojet massage, are offered for a fee. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities (no extra charge).

Meals

The dining area includes a lobby bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the restaurant (non-smoking, a buffet and high chairs). All-inclusive is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast buffet (also for early birds and late risers) provides many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes, children's meals, halal food, lactose-free food and vegan food can be prepared on request. The resort also offers snacks.     ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Xanadu, you’ve stolen my heartI don’t know where to start, so I’ll start with what moved me the most.I traveled alone for my birthday. It sounds brave, and maybe it was — but honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this beautiful. My boyfriend had been conspiring with the hotel team for two weeks to have flowers brought to my room. I had no idea. And when I opened the door… I will never forget that moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing along with him and doing it with such care. That’s something you don’t forget.But the story doesn’t end there.The hotel itself is stunning — lush, spotlessly clean, full of beautiful corners you want to photograph at every turn. My room was spacious, always perfectly made up, taken care of down to the smallest detail. There are plenty of restaurants with varied menus, attentive and prompt staff, great food. Everything you need, exactly where it should be.But my favorite part? The beach. Oh, the beach.Fine sand, warm water, a gentle entry into the sea — and me, not knowing how to swim, feeling safe from the very first second. I spent entire days on my sunlounger and felt no need to go anywhere. Partly because Karem — the young man looking after the adults’ section — was always there, attentive and smiling, appearing exactly when I needed something. And Mohamed Mahmoud… this man memorized my preferences from day one. He knew when I wanted coffee, when I wanted a cocktail, when I needed water. I never had to ask — he simply appeared. That kind of attention is rare.The beach managers walked around constantly to make sure everything was fine — not in a formal way, but genuinely present.And to complete the picture — from the pontoon near the beach I got to see fish, an octopus, all kinds of wonderful Red Sea creatures. Me, someone who doesn’t snorkel and can’t swim — I still got to experience that magic. It felt like a small miracle.The animation team was equally wonderful. Morning yoga, stretching, beach parties — the party felt exactly like my own birthday celebration, and in a beautiful way, maybe it was.You know what stayed with me the most? Being a woman traveling alone in Egypt and never — not for a single moment — feeling anything other than respected, safe and warmly smiled at. At every turn. By every single person.Seven days that went by far too quickly. And because saying “I’ll be back” just isn’t enough — see you in 3 months, Xanadu. Thank you for everything. 🌺

    Woooow we love that place we had so much fun in it and we enjoyed all the activites and the animation showes, dances.. The hotel itself is almost like a big family we felt so warm between them we would love to come again next year

    Absolutely waist of holiday. Do not think about this hotel at all.

    This hotel is an absolutely joke. It says 4 star but I would not give it even 1. After you walk through the reception the magic is gone. You start seeing all the bad points. They do not even try to hide them. Everything is closed or not available for guests. Dirty pools with no water cleaning system, Food, empty cups or even wire in the pool. Jacuzzi with green water. Disgusting food - every day the same. All fatty meals, fried with liters of oil. No food for children at all (no chocolate, biscuits, or even fries, chips). No ice cream. A few old rolls stuffed with yellow cheese or sausage - that was an afternoon snack. Housekeeping was picking up dirty towels and putting them back up.You can go anywhere as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Please do not go there and do not waste you money and time for all that horrible experience.
