    We stayed at the Susanna Hotel. Lets start with the pool area- the tiled area was very dusty as it wasn't washed down so ones feet got extremely dirty and there was nowhere to clean them before entering the pool. The hotel is in a very noisy part of Luxor next to the bazaar. The room was very small and was just above a bar and the bazaar. The shower in the bathroom was a mere trickle of water. Not enough to wash my hair. The wifi was very poor. Outside the hotel there were many Egyptians hassling for business offering trips and taxis. Some were very persistent and didn't like it when we said no. The breakfast was ok and the staff helpful. The view from the breakfast area and pool was ok.

    Terrible Experience – Unclean, Poor Service, and No RefundI strongly advise against staying at Sussana Hotel in Luxor. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I was forced to leave after just one night despite booking for four (March 16–20, 2025).Upon arrival, the room was in an unacceptable condition—there were bed bugs, hair, chocolate wrappers, and other trash. The air conditioning was broken, making the stay even worse. I immediately requested a thorough cleaning and AC repair, but nothing was done.To make matters worse, the hotel manager refused to meet with me, showing a complete lack of professionalism and respect for guests. Since the hotel was unwilling to resolve these issues, I had no choice but to leave early and book another hotel at my own expense.Despite only staying one night, the hotel refused to refund the three unused nights, and their lack of customer care was shocking.The hotel itself flatly refused to do the right thing. This experience completely ruined my trip, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you’re considering staying here—don’t! There are much better options in Luxor that actually care about cleanliness and guest experience.

    This hotel is located across from Luxor Temple, few minutes walk to the ticket office. We have a room at the front, yes there is some noise. It’s Egypt. You can choose other rooms. Check in was simple, bags were brought to room. Elevator to room. There is a fridge, tv with English Channel. Good lighting to read a book, not so in many hotels of this rating. Beds are comfortable , Clean room, linen.The bathroom is clean, has hand and bath towels, good hot water, large sink, might have been renovated. Lots of counter space and side table, built in wardrobe in you want to hang things. Small room but ample space to open bags without tripping. Wifi works perfectly on the third floor. Breakfast was a large spread buffet, the freshly cooked omelet was excellent and delicious. I was hesitant about booking have read some reviews but was pleasantly surprised in a good way. Over 100 countries not sure what some people expected for the price. Electric plugs are loose, might have been good for older electronics but I just propped it with two side tables. Management needs to look into that.

    We recently stayed here as part of a group tour. Rooms and breakfast are basic, but rooms had everything we needed and were very clean. The location is excellent - a two minute walk to Luxor Temple and the street market is just around the corner. We were expecting a negative experience based on some of the reviews online and ended up really liking this hotel. It met all of our needs. The dining room and rooftop have an awesome view of the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, and the Nile. Sunrise and sunset are stunning. Yes there is some street noise…but welcome to any centrally located hotel in Egypt. Plus, our housekeeper had mad towel art skills. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you if you’re looking for a solid place to sleep in a great location. I would totally stay here again.     Oh Susanna -A Nice Hotel

    Some friends and I stayed here during our gAdventures tour of Egypt. It was a nice place in a great location! We were able to see Luxor Temple from the hotel roof as well as the Nile and the Valley of the Kings. The rooms were nice. I had a balcony on the "party" side, meaning above the closed street where everyone watch football and played backgammon. It was noisy, which didn't really bother me other than I wanted to join them, but couldn't! The restaurant had a breakfast buffet that was comparable to most hotel buffets I'd had in Egypt. Not bad, but nothing special. The rooftop pool was nice. The rooftop restaurant served alcohol, which was nice, too.
