  Almost amazing, but not quite there…yet!

  A really great experience at Dahab Lagoon- no hassle fromhawkers on the private beach, and overall it’s excellent value. I’d also like to make a couple of suggestions that would make the whole experience even better.The staff at this hotel are really fantastic- friendly, helpful and sincere- something you don’t always encounter on these kind of holidays. The site is very clean, well maintained and the pools and beach are spotless. My only slight criticism would be that there’s no bar open after 11pm- I feel you’re missing a trick here- a cash bar on the beach open late with chilled music (so other guests aren’t disturbed) and perhaps a fire pit or two would be a really great revenue stream and of course be welcome to those who want to stay up later! Other than that, a few extra things to do (which wouldn’t cost the resort much money at all) like table tennis, croquet, badminton, darts and a selection of games like backgammon, Scrabble etc would be great. Overall though, great staff, great food (plentiful and lots of choice) and a fantastic resort. One last thing- single use plastics- it’s crazy how many you get through each day. Simple solution- on check in, You pay a £5 deposit for a recyclable cup (can be branded with the resort’s logo) which is your cup for the holiday. You may need to provide a push down ‘glass washer’ in a couple of locations, but other than that, it’s going to save you a fortune in the long run. At the end of the holiday, you hand them back and get your £5 back. This would save a fortune on plastic cups and it’s so much better for the environment- it’s also something that a lot of people would welcome and admire! We will definitely be back for New Year- keep up the fantastic work!

  A wonderful holiday at the Dahab Lagoon Club & Resort

  We’ve just returned from a 14-day stay at this hotel. When we chose Dahab and the Dahab Lagoon Club & Resort, we were looking for a peaceful part of Egypt surrounded by beautiful nature and the local atmosphere. We weren’t disappointed. The hotel is characterized by high-quality service, excellent food, and professional—and, importantly, helpful—staff. The activity coordinators do a great job, ensuring that hotel guests feel cared for and relaxed at all times. However, most of the time in this beautiful place is spent on the beach, surrounded by a stunningly beautiful landscape. The beautiful Sinai Mountains almost merge here with the crystal-clear Red Sea. Right here on the beach, a team of professional lifeguards watches over the guests’ safety, among whom an Egyptian named Zakaria stands out the most. Zakaria is a highly professional lifeguard, as well as an incredibly polite and courteous person. Whenever Zakaria was on the beach, both children and adults could feel safe. My wife and I travel the world a lot, but we have never met anyone so professional and dedicated to their work. We would love to visit this hotel again.

  The Hotel is in a great location for watersports. Hotel staff are friendly and kind, the hotel and grounds are kept clean, the beach and surroundings are stunning.However, the hotel provide the bare minimum All Inclusive.I wouldn't describe this as a family hotel. There is no kids pool and there's very few food options for kids, even ice cream is not included. If your kids are fussy eaters this is not the hotel for you.There is a very basic kids club.It is not clear what is actually included in All Inclusive, there are no menus to show what drinks or food can be ordered. After asking we found snacks are limited to french fries and hot dogs, which are only available for 2 hours a day between 3pm and 5pm.Drinks are served in a tiny, flimsy disposable plastic cups, similar to a cup you would give a child at a party.There are no self service snacks or drinks like other all inclusive resorts, and again no ice cream for kids. The serving size of the 'snack' of chips they provide is very small and minimal and drinks are very small ( a can of beer would fill 3 of the cups they provide!) There are pizzas, burgers sandwiches and ice cream but for an additional charge.Rooms are kept clean but are very dated, and need refurbishment. We had a family room but we're only ever given 2 room towels between 3 of us despite asking for more.We were provided with one bottle of water per person each day. If you want more water it's available in the restaurant or served in very small plastic cups at the bars. They do not provide any additional sealed bottles.Staff constantly disturbed you when on the beach relaxing to ask you to go to the spa, diving, and take part in aqua gym or volleyball.It was disappointing how much plastic waste is produced by the hotel, with little regard for the environmental implications.
