  Horrendous - Stay Away for 3 years

  STAY AWAY FOR 3 YEARS UNTILOCTOBER 2026 - MAJOR CONSTRUCTIONWORKS, they are increasing the hotel size by 50%. THE NOISE IS HORRENDOUS HUGE DIGGERS BREAKING ROCK AND JACK HAMMERS GOING ALL DAY

  Gorgeous Hotel, Great Food, Happy Couple!

  What a fantastic stay! My partner and I are notorious for picking bad hotels but I am so pleased we found and booked this hotel. Initially cautious due to the price, I am confident in saying that this exceeded our expectations. Immediately upon arrival we were impressed with the beautiful building, the friendly reception staff and the offers to take our luggage to the room. We were thoroughly impressed by the rooms, big and spacious with lots of immenities. The towels are changed every day and the cleaning team are very dilligent with ensuring that the rooms remain to a high standard. My partner wanted an additional pillow and almost before he could return from reception, the pillows were on the bed. Beach towels are provided, but what impressed me in particular was a tote bag in the room included to carry your beach/pool supplies. Small touches like this is what took our experience from great to exceptional. My only complaint is that the rooms/hallways are quite echo-y and so when people left their rooms you could hear them quite loudly. This was fine during the day but there was a particular family that insisted on leaving the room at 7am with the children singing songs. Definitely not the hotel's fault but something to consider when booking! Would be beneficial to make a section of the hotel designated as 'quiet' for those of us who want a lie in on holiday. We had a bed & breakfast package and I have to say, the breakast buffet was one of the best I have ever been to. All food was fresh and hot, with different options each morning. Omelette stations seem to be on the decline so I was delighted to see there was still one here! There were also often variations of eggs benedict available which my partner was very happy with. We ate at the hotel restaurant (OVO) one evening, and whilst it was enjoyable, it didn't stand out in comparison to some other restaurants in the area. The hotel is located a short walk from some other restaurants, bars and beaches so I would encourage other guests to do some exploring if they also have the B&B package. We also visited the spa whilst we were there as our anniversarry celebration - this was my favourite part of the trip. Would highly reccomend booking the ocean view pool. Overall I was thoroughly pleased with my visit. I was happy with the value for money, ambiance and staff. I will definitely be looking to book again!

  The decline of a Grand Hotel

  It was painful to experience and see during our numerous stays the steady decline in the last several years of this exclusive landmark hotel to an average 4 star set in an incredible setting.Staff is no longer smiling, everything is outdated (see photos of our towels), food quality has declined dramatically, not enough parasols, pools not cleaned.   3rd time, no regrets..

  Brought the family, total 7 adults & 1 4mth old, here because I (we) enjoyed it so much on our previous two visits! Standard half board gives access to a superb buffet restaurant, HB Plus, opens access to 5 great a la carte restaurants. Staff all around are excellent and couldn't be more helpful.Another draw for me are the golf courses, the primary draw for the first visit, if pushed skip Maspalomas, as only alright but Anfi Tauro, Meloneras and Salobre, 5??
