Location

The hotel overlooks the Red Sea and the Tiran Islands, only 18 km from the airport, 2 km to Sharm El Sheikh's town centre and 10 km from Naama Bay.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2022. Guests have a choice of 391 non-smoking rooms located in a 5-storey main building and 3 auxiliary buildings. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 2 lifts. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Other services include a 24-hour security service, 24-hour room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a page service and a hotel doctor. A photocopier is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. A king-size bed ensures a good night's sleep. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone and satellite television are provided as well. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are provided in the bathrooms, which include a bidet. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. 4 wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area (no extra charge). Parasols and comfortable sun loungers are available on the sun terrace. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including bocce, beach volleyball, crazy golf and paddle tennis. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling and water aerobics. For a fee, guests can also enjoy banana boat rides and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including billiards, darts, yoga and callisthenics. Various wellness options, such as a spa, a sauna, a hammam and a beauty salon, are offered for a fee. Third-party operators offer a spa, a sauna and beauty salon. Evening entertainment includes live music.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including an à-la-carte restaurant, a bar and a lobby bar. All-inclusive is offered as a catering option. A breakfast for early birds and late risers guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests serves themselves at the generous buffet. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and halal food can be prepared on request. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    Our stay at Pickalbatros Royal Grand Sharm was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and professional, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food had a great variety every day.     Seconc and the Last stay here

    I visited this hotel three years ago and had a wonderful time, which is why I chose to return this May (14th–21st). Unfortunately, my second experience was vastly different and, to be honest, I could not wait to leave.My primary goal was snorkeling, but the experience was severely limited. The pontoon bridge is often inaccessible due to rough waves, overcrowding, and the constant traffic from the hotel's paid excursion boats. When you do manage to get into the water, the area is very restricted and often murky.Regarding the environment: I felt quite uncomfortable with the hotel's current atmosphere. Despite addressing staff in English, I was consistently answered in Russian, which felt alienating. Furthermore, the resort is currently dominated by a demographic that often behaves with complete disregard for others—blaring their own music, shouting, and creating a chaotic environment. It is unfortunate to see a hotel cater so heavily to this specific clientele, as it makes international guests feel like outsiders.I must mention the hotel manager, who was very professional and actively tried to improve my stay. I truly appreciate his efforts, though it seems he may be unaware of the deeper impact that this specific resort culture has on guests who value a peaceful, international holiday environment.I want to emphasize that my frustration is not directed at the hardworking staff, who were the absolute highlight of this trip. A huge thank you to the reception team for being consistently helpful and welcoming. Special gratitude to Rafael at the restaurant, Ahmed (1358 room service), and the head chef Gomma for their genuine kindness and professionalism and really delicious, fresh, tasty and healty food. Also many thanks for doctor Aam and his assistant Mohamed, who were super helpful. A heartfelt thank you to Samy, the lifeguard on the pontoon, who is an absolute gem. God bless you guys.You are all wonderful, and I will miss your warmth. However, due to the current atmosphere and the poor state of the beach facilities, I will not be returning.     Honest Review of Pickalbatros Royal Grand Resort - Sharm El Sheikh. Travelled April 2026 from UK:Highlights:-Coral Reef on jetty, beautiful fish! -Staff, very friendly and caring. Service is excellent, special mention of Nadar serving drinks he was very kind. Pros:-Food & Drink, various food available everyday and multiple places to eat & drink throughout the day. -Loungers, more than enough loungers for everyone to lye on so not fighting over them in the morning. -Pools, different so loads of room to swim and have fun.-Beds, found the beds in the room very comfortable to sleep on! :) -Massage was incredible, highly recommend! -Rooms cleaned & spotless every day. Cons:-Sales men (Spa, Beauty Salon, Diving Club, Photographer etc), they are very rude as they keep asking for sales even after you have purchased something. Had 10 men within 2hrs whilst trying to sunbathe. I would advise to not keep asking same guests over and over as becomes uncomfortable. This also makes the 5 star hotel lack professionalism. Hence why I have only rated 4 star. -The hotel is mostly Russian guests which were very rude during our stay and were rude to staff members. Thanks once again for your hospitality!
