Location

This hotel enjoys a dream location on the golden, sunny beach of Nabq-Sharm El Sheikh, famous not only for its excellent year-round weather, but also a fabulous diving spot. The hotel is situated close to the nature protection area of Nabq Red Sea and is only approximately 15 minutes from the two largest entertainment and shopping centres of Sharm El Sheikh. The airport is only around 7 minutes from the hotel.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2019. The resort has 638 rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a playroom. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning ensures comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is a standard feature of some rooms. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the queen-size bed. Extra beds or children's beds can be provided upon request. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A telephone, satellite television and WiFi are provided as well. Guests will also find slippers in their rooms. A hairdryer is provided in the bathrooms. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 11 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. The pool area also includes a hot tub, a waterslide and a pool bar. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball and crazy golf. With windsurfing, kitesurfing, banana boat rides, catamaraning, snorkelling, diving and water aerobics available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, callisthenics and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, a hammam, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Leisure facilities include a kids' club, a kids' disco, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include 7 restaurants, a bar, a pub and a lobby bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. All-inclusive can be booked. A continental breakfast buffet provides many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet. Gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We had a wonderful family holiday at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna in Sharm El Sheikh. The cleanliness of the hotel, the quality and variety of the food, the pools, the aquapark, and the beach facilities all exceeded our expectations. Despite being a very large resort, everything was well organized and professionally managed.I would especially like to thank a few members of the staff who made our stay even more enjoyable. Anastasia approached us by the pool when we were having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi and quickly solved the problem. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help were greatly appreciated.Ahmed at the reception was outstanding from the moment we arrived until the day we left. He welcomed us warmly, assisted us whenever needed, and made sure our departure was just as pleasant as our arrival.Special thanks also go to Chef Karem Hatem from the Oriental Restaurant. His delicious food, warm smile, and friendly presentation made every meal a pleasure.Nader Badawy, one of the waiters, provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Every time we had a meal, he took great care of us and always made sure everything was perfect.In fact, every member of the staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. They made us feel at home rather than simply being hotel guests.We highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.     I really enjoyed it, the reef is really pretty! We also really enjoy the shows every night and the children love the mini disco, it’s nice that there’s alot of pools so it’s not over crowded, the staff all are amazing and the animation team really tries their best. The cleaning staff really made my days with the towel animals! We got sick at day 2 of our stay and the manager instantly got called and then he called doctors for us right away, everyone is very nice and polite. I really enjoyed my stay here!     Good infrastructure let down badly by execution

    Overall, there were some genuinely positive parts of the holiday. The staff were helpful when we raised issues, although the service felt more reactive than proactive. The pools and hotel facilities were excellent, and the all-inclusive food was perfectly fine. We certainly did not go hungry. The drinks were below average, but acceptable in the context of an all-inclusive hotel.The transfer from the airport to the hotel, and back again, was easy and well organised. The easyHoliday staff at pick-up and drop-off were also helpful, which made the travel side of the trip straightforward.Unfortunately, there were several significant negatives which affected the overall experience.The biggest issue was the handling of an egg allergy. Food was not clearly labelled, and waiters gave incorrect information, which resulted in illness twice. For a hotel catering to families and international guests, this was very concerning and made eating feel stressful rather than relaxing.Our room was also a long way from the main pool area, which made daily trips back and forth inconvenient, especially with children. We were also disappointed to discover that the waterslides required children to be 130cm tall, but this was not made clear at the time of booking, despite the holiday being advertised as suitable for families with young children.Another major downside was the constant selling around the pool. We were repeatedly approached by people trying to sell massages, scuba trips, beauty treatments, safaris and other services, all apparently connected to the hotel. On the first day alone, I was approached three times before even finding a sunlounger. By Day 3, I had been interrupted more than 40 times. Even after saying “no”, some sellers continued to push. We eventually had to get a “Do not disturb” sign simply to be left alone, although even then a few people still tried.There were also issues with other guests. Some children were left largely unsupervised by their parents and were disruptive, aggressive and rude. This, combined with very loud guests allowing children to scream and bang doors at 2am, made the hotel feel far less relaxing than expected.Finally, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, which affected our sleep throughout the stay.In summary, the hotel has strong facilities, good pools and a convenient transfer experience, but the allergy handling, constant selling, poor sleep quality and lack of guest control made the holiday far more stressful than it should have been.     Relaxing holiday

    Having just returned from this amazing hotel for the 4th time, from checkin to checkout we had an amazing time, some new things this year, the bakery was a new addition which was lovely, so much choice. The tagine is now an Italian and a new restaurant being built near the beach, the staff really make this holiday and always welcome you back, it was disappointing though to see everybody we knew had been moved around but we did see everybody after going looking for them, Ali and Ahmed at the top pool always looked after us, it was a shame wafy was down the bottom pool but we did see him, also in the evening mohammed in the relax bar was lovely and welcomed us back.we missed mohammed on the egg station for breakfast as he went on holiday after our first morning but was nice to see him on our first day. Breakfast and lunch was always good, evening meal was a bit repetitive but always something to eat, I would prefer the ice cream to still be inside as it seems to be quite soft being served outside, one tip for taxis I would go to main front gate as hotel taxi is alot more expensive. Thankyou to tariq our cleaner, he was always attentive and left us decoration on the bed . Thankyou to all the staff for helping us have a good holiday. Also the cleaners and gardeners who look after the hotel and grounds you do an amazing job !!
