  Some nices bits but overall poor

  Just got back and I must say a mixed review but overall a poor experience. Rooms and hotel environment very clean... staff are fantastic, always friendly and helpful and go out of their way to give you great service. The house coral reef was fantastic.... The food however was a big let down... whilst there was some variety their use of a hot hold was not quite there as a lot of food was only just warm or even cold ( that was at the start of service). No kids section for them to choose but being fair as my granddaughter had allergies they did cook chicken nuggets to order for her. The most disappointing aspect was the entertainment, unless you were fluent in Russian then you wouldn't feel part of the evening whilst I do recognise that English were in a very small minority the hotel should understand we still need to be catered for... the lack of English was even evident at the kids mini disco where my granddaughter was every evening. My wife and I go to Egypt 2 or 3 times a year and try to sample different hotels and as much as I enjoyed the coral reef off the hotel would not go back... which is a shame as there are some good points but decent food and unbiased entertainment is a must on holiday.

  Simply Wonderful !!!!!!!

  4th Time Here, and will certainly not be the last. We are always welcomed by the general manager, some of the under managers and staff who remember us. The beach and red sea is great and well supervised, The relax pool is a great place to be and we are very all well looked after by the staff. The place is spotlessly clean however as mostly reported, a little tired. Live bands are a welcome from the usual animation team dancing and generally the entertainment is well organised. Food is top draw, the speciality restaurants are a pleasure, the sea breeze and the sunset are just as good as anywhere. Drinks are typical Egyptian, as in not great, but I am not a big drinker so as long as the soft drinks are good i don't care. By the entertainment centres it can get a little noisy but at 11 all is calm and noisy stuff is kept well away from the rooms. The gardens are lovely to look at and well manicured. All in all this is a tribute to Mehmet and his well trained staff, he is always on hand for a chat, comments, and runs a tight ship, a sincere thanks to him and very well done sir. We have one niggle and one only... sunbeds... People tip the staff at the beach and the pools to reserve sunbeds,, I pay for sunbeds in the cost of the hotel, not going to pay again, especially when i see towels on beds that are not occupied for hours at a time and sometimes most of the day. Anyway moan over, value,, well you get what you pay for, and this place is well worth the additional couple of quid. See you next year.

  Great first holiday at Reef Oasis Blue Bay

  Just returned from Reef Oasis Blue Bay. We have been to sharm before but first time to this hotel. On arrival it is clear this is a quality hotel. The ground are manicured, the gardeners do a fantastic job. They are so friendly too, always saying good morning when we go to breakfast. Going with TUI means we could eat in Sunset court which is so much calmer and quieter. Again the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. TUI guest also get to eat once in all 3 of the speciality restaurants which is a nice touch. The rooms are nice and spacious. We initially got a room near the quiet pool. Which was ideal. The block are being decorated and unfortunately we had to move after 1 night. The room we were moved to really needed a refurb more as so much was wrong with this room. The following day we spoke with Emma from guest relations and she arranged for us to meet with her manager. We were moved to another room, this was a ground floor suite opposite the quiet pool again. So 3 rooms in 3 days, we were fed up with unpacking and repacking so we stayed with this room for the rest of the holiday. At the champagne welcome meeting for TUI guests to meet the management team we meet the General manager of the hotel. He was apologetic about our issues with rooms and shared with us his vision with the hotel. There is no denying the hotel is 20 years old but the plan is full steam ahead to bring the hotel to where it should for a 5 star. The hotel is also being extended to add another 300+ rooms with swim-up rooms and sea views. This will bring the hotel to 1000 rooms. The building work was very quiet and didn’t disturb our holiday at all. The beach is lovely with its own lifts to take you down, on the middle floor is a restaurant on the bottom floor is the beach with its own towel station, snack bar and toilets. Again really well kept. There is a activity pool outside the bay view restaurant where the entertainment team are. There is at completely the other side of the site z children’s are with kids club, play area, snack bar and towel station. This pool is huge too with water slides. Our favourite pool was the adult only Relax pool. The lifeguards help with towels and pillows. Big shout out to Gehad who kept us hydrated all day and plenty of snacks brought to us. He let us know when it was beer o’clock ! Fabulous guy so friendly and funny we would return to this hotel just to be spoiled by him :-)In the evening we ate in Sunset court again it was a mix of Asian, Indian and Chinese we said it was like having a take away every night. Always plenty of choice and quality food. So clean tidy and well managed, again the waiters were fabulous and catered for all that was required. We did eat in Bay view 1 evening but found it loud and more hustle and bustle but staff were again very welcoming we just preferred the relaxed feel of Sunset court. Lots of entertainment in the evening. The was a 24hr pub it was dark and absolutely freezing in there. The Caribbean bar which had its own roof top terrace and live bands every evening. Then there was the main entertainment through the shops. This was where the mini disco is followed by the nightly shows. Because the site is so big there are golf buggies and a bus which picks up and drops off at the bus stops constantly which is ideal if you have young children or cannot walk that far. Overall we had a fabulous 2 week and will return without a doubt.   The dream holiday

  We are in the airport heading home and we already miss this resort! I’ll make a detailed review, on every single aspect of it.The rooms: the resort is organised in small blocks of 2 levels surrounded by nature. We had a deluxe room facing the adults-only pool. Extremely clean and with all the amenities needed: toiletries, free refreshments, bottled water. Comfortable bed and warm lightning.The food: there are 2 buffet restaurants, which provide every day fresh vegetables, varied cooked meals, several types of meat, sweets, fruits. They change them every day so we never got bored. I really appreciated the abundance of salads and vegetables, so for a vegetarian, it’s a perfect place.The sea and beach: we came here especially for the coral reef and it was beyond the expectations. They have a very well preserved coral reef, so from the beach, you have direct access to it. They have a very good PADI diving school, with fair prices. They are very protective with the marine environment which makes it an ideal destination for those interested in snorkeling and diving. The beach is very clean and wellorganized. Always helping you to find the perfect spot. On the beach, there are stretching and yoga classes every day, also volleyball, darts etc.The services and staff: and here comes what makes the huge difference. Everyone is genuinely happy and helpful. They all speak English. The services are always prompt and high quality. There is a very professional spa service and also a very well equipped gym.Bottom line, congratulations to the management and team for this very high quality and we hope to come back soon. If you love snorkeling, healthy food, complete reset, this is the spot!! Thank you for such a memorable holiday!   Fantastic holiday

  Absolutely beautiful resort All the Bar staff and restaurant staff are fantastic. They go above and beyond to make your holiday fantastic. Our room No. 3136 was fantastic our cleaner was fantastic cleaned the room every day clean sheets and towels every day. Such a lovely gentleman couldn't do enough for you. He always asked if we needed anything and if we had any problems he sorted it straight away. Absolutely fantastic. Gehad was at the Adult only pool and bar.
