    Absolutely terrible

    rating15 May 2026

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever been to on arrival, we noticed all the chairs ripped and very old in the lobby. There was no lift in the room had nothing that was advertised on loveholidays no Aircon it was broke no mini fridge. There wasn’t even a fridge. There was bedbugs all in the bed when moved to another room to upgrade. It was exactly the same probably even worse all around the pool broken holes around the drains. Recommend never to take your children there we left immediately and was begged by the staff not to show the videos and pictures and they will give us a refund, however we didn’t get our refund as yet but will be taking this further. Recommend do not go to this hotel. It is terrible.

    Bad experience

    rating23 Mar 2026

I recently stayed at Sharm Cliff Resort, and it was a complete disaster. The hotel suffers from severe neglect and a total lack of basic maintenance and hygiene. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Here are the main issues:Bathrooms & Plumbing: The condition is catastrophic. There is visible rust on the pipes, constant water leaks, and the sinks and mirrors were filthy. It felt unsanitary and poorly maintained.Public Areas & Pool: The pool area is unkept, and there are puddles of stagnant water in the outdoor walkways caused by leaks or bad drainage. This creates a bad smell and attracts insects.Furniture & Fixtures: The seating areas are appalling. The sofas and chairs are worn out and extremely dirty. Outdoor lighting is broken with exposed wires, which is a serious safety hazard. Even the trash cans are just old plastic buckets that are unfit for any hotel.General Cleanliness: Trash and cigarette butts are scattered everywhere—in the planters and between the rocks. It is clear that daily cleaning is non-existent.This hotel needs a complete renovation and a management team that understands basic health and hospitality standards. The attached photos speak for themselves and show the miserable reality of this "resort.

Should Holiday Buzz be recommending the Sharm Cliff Resort???

    rating22 Mar 2026

The Sharm Cliff Resort Hotel is disgusting in every way! What does one say about a holiday? It was wonderful... so great to get away to a warmer climate... the best experience of my life... unbelievable weather...But suppose the hotel wasn't all it was cracked up to be! Far from it! Who recommended the Sharm Cliff Resort? Why the phone salesmen - Henry, Patrick & Bart - at Holiday Buzz. They recommended an all-inclusive package to my partner and myself. On the night of our arrival, the 23rd Feb. 2026, we were both shocked at the disgusting state of the so-called hotel. The very next day we reported the condition of the Sharm Cliff Resort to Holiday Buzz. Holiday Buzz stated that they need 28 days to investigate the dangerous cliff steps, the shabby, understaffed hotel, dirty and frayed linen, stained towels, infrequent changes of bed sheets, sewage that erupts through an open drain in the bathroom, together with broken chairs, tiles and wires sticking out of walls that are connected to bulbs. If one looks skywards while climbing the steps to the entrance of the restaurant, there are dirty scruffy windows, caked in black grime clinging onto the glass that obviously has not been cleaned in years. That is without referring to the manager who saunters around the restaurant in scruffy, worn jeans. He seems to have no control of his employees, who are also in casual dress and are leaning against walls - far too busy engaged with their mobiles. The manager's assistant holds guard over the kitchen opening, making sure no holidaymaker goes inside. Instead of selecting what guests would like to eat, food is rationed out at every meal. Ordering thin sliced bread and scrambled eggs for breakfast is an ordeal that the reception staff has to deal with when speaking to British people on holidays. The Sharm Cliff Resort has insufficient staff, and the whole place is badly run. This hotel is not suitable for English tourists. It does not cater for our needs. There is nothing for us to eat for breakfast, so we have to pay to go to the beach and eat out during the day. We can ill afford to do this. There are two other English people here and they feel exactly the same. The Sharm Cliff Resort may regard itself as a 4 star, but when we asked the man at reception what the star rating was for this hotel, he said 3 star - but it wouldn't even make 1 star. So the owners of the hotel have told lies to Holiday Buzz and they in turn are persuading holidaymakers to book their holidays with them!In front of the reception area, one is allowed to make mobile calls or work on one's computer - that is if one can make contact with the heavy traffic of people trying to connect. Of course, one's conversation is open to everyone - otherwise, the hotel has no wifi for the guests in their rooms. Both of us are pensioners and we don't know how many years we have left. So when we book a holiday it's very important to us. 138 precarious steps are from the cliff hotel down to street level. Particularly as one could trip on the metal piping sticking out of the ground and be hurled down the steps! Fortunately, both of us are fairly fit, and the climb back up to the shabby hotel could be managed. Of course, this aspect was never mentioned to us by Holiday Buzz when they were eagerly persuading us to book the Sharm Cliff Resort Hotel !But suppose a holidaymaker is disabled or in a wheelchair, they would have no alternative but to take a taxi back and forth to the beach, 1 mile away, which would be expensive - there is also a fee on the beach area!Has Holiday Buzz sent out a holiday representative to review the hotel? On the 27th Feb. 2026, Holiday Buzz informed us: 'we are now closing the complaint from our side.' That particular travel agency has mis-sold us our ruined holiday. Is Holiday Buzz and their team of phone salesmen continuing to recommend this all-inclusive package - which is a lie - to other UK citizens?

Holiday Buzz gives thumbs up to the Sharm Cliff Resort

    rating13 Mar 2026

Holiday Buzz has recommended the Sharm Cliff Resort in Sharm El Sheikh to UK holidaymakers !!! The clue is in the word Cliff. It has 138 steps up to the shabby hotel at the very top of the cliff. If one attempts the walk down to street level, all the while trying to avoid the metal pieces that stick out of the ground. While those unfortunate enough to trip and fall onto the jagged piping could leave those on holiday badly injured. Holidaymakers trying to get to the sunny beach could be the least of their desires as they were rushed to a nearby hospital. Anybody disabled or in a wheelchair would need to take a taxi to the beach by road, which is one mile away from the hotel. No clearing up has been attempted by the staff, outside or inside the hotel, for years. When we arrived at the Sharm Cliff Resort Hotel, we were greeted by a broken chair; a bathroom door that wouldn't close; sheets and towels that were changed infrequently; sewage pumping up through the open drain into the bathroom, and an unpleasant smell that hovered in our room throughout our stay. Other English couples complained of the same thing in their rooms.A truck arrived every day carrying an eighteen foot tank, and with a cable running into the open ground drain, sucked the sewage into the tank. At the back of the vehicle were two pipes that leaked sewage onto the ground. A ground that tourists used for walking on. This leak was not fixed from day to day (all of this has been photographed). On the way into the restaurant, if one looked skywards, one is capable of seeing clogged up, dirty windows (photographed); food that couldn't be eaten (hence the need to take trips outside); bulbs, floor tiles, and a shed overlooking the pool area (photographed), all which badly needed to be replaced or repaired. The reception staff informed us that the internet could not be used in our rooms, instead, they could be used at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately, everybody was either on their mobiles or computers, and one had to wait until almost mid-night to make contact with the outside world.Holiday Buzz told us that our stay was all inclusive. This was mis-leading or a lie on their part, as this was not true: the food could not be eaten and it involved extra payment, eating out - also, had to pay onto the beach area. We arrived with a limited amount to spend, and it became our problem as to how we were able to manage our pocket money. The photos that the hotel show as advertising the Sharm Cliff Resort were taken in 2012, which are mis-leading as to the true state of the place today.I have taken 60 photographs of the Sharm Cliff Resort and it is my intention to show photographs of the hotel through Social Media during the spring and summer months. Although it is advertised as a 4 star hotel, it would barely manage 1 star. When the staff at the reception desk were asked the number of stars this hotel received, they said 3 stars. So the owners of the hotel have lied to the various travel agencies by stating that the hotel merits 4 stars.Holiday Buzz is only too proud and eager to sell the Sharm Cliff Resort to British citizens.
