    Ruined holidays

    rating03 Sept 2025

Our stay at this hotel was one of the worst experiences. • Water: not a single bottle of water was provided in the room during the whole stay. When we asked, the staff told us to buy it. Completely unacceptable for an all inclusive hotel. • Food: absolutely terrible. Every day the same, no real choice, only a couple of dishes that were almost impossible to eat. We were hungry most of the time. • Staff: unfriendly and unhelpful, no hospitality at all. • Rooms: dirty, unhygienic, towels were stained and not properly cleaned. It was so bad that we even had to rent a room in another hotel (Sharm Plaza) just to survive our holiday. Thanks to Sharm Plaza for saving our trip, but Sharm Inn Amarein was a complete disaster.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone – just ruined holidays.

    Very disappointed stay

    rating27 Aug 2025

I had one of the worst hotel experiences during my stay. From the very beginning, the reception staff were extremely unprofessional and impolite. The first room I was given had a door that wouldn’t close properly. When I requested a room change, the receptionist refused and insisted on sending maintenance instead. It took more than 30 minutes for them to fix it, and meanwhile I had to wait with my luggage. The bathroom smelled unpleasant, and even after requesting housekeeping, it wasn’t properly cleaned. The air conditioning was also faulty and required multiple technicians to come and work on it. Altogether, it took nearly three hours from check-in before I could finally settle into the room.Throughout my stay, the room was never cleaned properly. Towels were missing, and only two bottles of water were provided for the entire duration. Calling reception was frustrating — they often didn’t answer, and when they did, their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. In the restaurant, most of the staff appeared very young and inexperienced, which reflected poorly on the overall service quality.Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. The service, cleanliness, and professionalism fell far below basic hospitality standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    Pampered beyond belief

    rating12 Mar 2025

The staff in this hotel are amazing anything you need they will get for you or advise you where to go and how to get there. On arrival, as we'd moved from another hotel, Omar on reception asked if we'd like lunch and to leave our cases, escorted us to dining room and collected us when the room was ready.Omar was a darling, everything from table to play dominoes on, seat cushions for the balcony, moving to a sunnier room etc he was there.Ahmed/casemiro/ james bond the pool man brightened up our day and David our daily and his Towel sculptures. They were all so cheerful and helpful.I had the whole pool to myself most days and the hotel is beautiful and spotless. The meals are a bit repetitive but if you want something different just ask and they will do it.We got tinned tomatoes from carrefour for breakfast they microwaved them for us and also boiled eggs for our breakfast on request. We would definitely go back. It's on its own so 7 mins stroll to nearest supermarket/ Heineken-wine shop/cafe, or taxi to carrefour. What a beautiful hotel and people never been so pampered.

We had a great holiday here.

    rating25 Feb 2025

I travelled to the Sharm Inn with friends and family in February 2025. The hotel is lovely, with a large swimming pool and friendly, welcoming staff who made our holiday a very good experience. The weather was warm but chilly at times and February is a quiet time of year in Sharm, so there were not many guests. But that was ok for us as we had the area to ourselves a lot of the time. The pool was just about warm enough for a short dip most days but too cold for lots of jumping in. And be warned, if there is a wind you might be cold in the day and evening so bring jumpers and long trousers at this time of year. The rooms were nice, a bit dated but the beds were VERY comfortable and the house keeper goes to extraordinary lengths to make your stay special (who knew you could make an elephant out of towels?).We went all-inclusive and the food was nice with lots of choice. We all ate a lot! The bar is ok but had limited choices at this time of year, it might be better in the summer months. The bar staff were kind and friendly. We also ate out a couple of times - once at Arafah restaurant, which was absolutely gorgeous and a 30 minute stroll from Sharm Inn (we ordered way too much food) and at Fairuz Lebanese restaurant in Naama which was also good. The hotel has a free shuttle bus that takes you to a public beach where you can swim and snorkel. It wasn't the best and it is very crowded with beds. But if you walk down the road (when you leave the shuttle) to the other Al Fanar beach there are two (separate) resorts there where you pay 150 egp for entry and can choose from lots of lovely areas to sit or sunbathe. The cafe's do lovely food and PROPER COFFEE and are well priced. We wished we had discovered them sooner. There is also good snorkelling there. When you walk through the car park you'll see two entrances - these are the separate entrances - one for each café.The Sharm Inn has a really wonderful entertainments manager, Max, who is full of energy and warmth. Personally, I would prefer no music on during the day or at least very quiet background music but be warned, it can get loud. If you are looking for a quiet resort this one may not be for you. I'm sure, when it is busy, there will be lots of people doing the many activities laid on. We all loved Max though and became fond of him. He gave it his all despite there being few people to entertain. A word of warning - avoid going into the shisha place on Al Motelat (I think it is called LV or LM or something?) It is opposite the off licence and ATM and is toward the end of a row of cafes and shops. It had football on so we went in. The manager seemed nice but charged us about £50 for a shisha and three bottles of beer, which he ran out and got from the shop across the road. My friend tried to argue the bill but we ended up paying. What a crook. In contrast, next door to the Sharm Inn is a little shisha place that serves tea, coffee and cold drinks. It was so nice! They were just starting out and were thinking of keeping the name 'the Chill Zone'. Don't hesitate to go inThe Old Market was a nice surprise and fun to visit. If you want to go into Naama the hotel will get you a taxi at a good price. Our driver, Karim, was hilarious. Naama is a very different experience to old Sharm but worth a visit. Altogether I would recommend the Sharm Inn Amarein - it is excellent value, easy to get around from, the staff were super-lovely and the hotel has a lot to offer. I would definitely go back at a different time of the year (if Max will turn the music down a bit).
