  Good place but not Great!!

  31 Mar 2026

I think the place needs an update to make it more efficient. The check-in should have the ability to do it through an application, and the food reservation times should be done through the application. Also, all of the entertainment and activities in the areas should be advertised there. The liquor served in the bar area is of very low quality, and the food is also very basic. The rooms are nice because they are big and it has lots of space, but the two rooms I got were not that clean, and the toilets and shower did not drain correctly The distances between one place and another, like from the room to the swimming pool, are often far, so it would be nice to make things more efficient and faster. Overall, the place is ok, but not great or recommended, as we all should, even though the beach area is great and beautiful Walter Eduardo Castaneda, Guest Services / Front Office at Royal Decameron Salinitas, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. DONT STAY HERE

  29 Mar 2026

I’m really disappointed with my experience here. We’ve been waiting since 9 AM and were told we’d be ready by 3, then 4… and now it’s 4:40 with no clear update. We’re hungry, frustrated, and haven’t been offered any accommodations or support. On top of that, we can’t even grab food because of dress restrictions, which just adds to the situation. At this point, it feels like there’s a lack of communication and care for guests. I honestly wouldn’t recommend staying here. The only positive so far has been the free drinks, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for everything else. Walter Eduardo Castaneda, Guest Services / Front Office at Royal Decameron Salinitas, responded to this review Dear Kelly:Thank you for sharing your honest feedback; it helps us identify areas where we can improve. We will take your comments regarding wait times, customer service, and the need to provide immediate solutions in cases like yours into consideration. However, please note that check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and room keys are handed out between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM. There may be a delay of a few minutes beyond the scheduled time.We hope you will give us another chance in the future so that we can offer you a much more positive experience at the Royal Decameron Salinitas in El Salvador.Best regards,Walter Eduardo CastanedaGuest Services Manager

  Maintenance is desperately needed

  27 Mar 2026

I have been to this resort three times and the quality has considerably declined over the years. It was the first time my partner was visiting so I wanted to have a really good place to end our vacation but it has been disappointing. The resort clearly needs maintenance, the balcony rail has mold everywhere and it is broken, the food options are very limited and every time we asked questions we didn’t really get a clear answer even when we checked in the wrong information was provided. If I had known the resort state I would had booked my stay in a different place with better facilities. Walter Eduardo Castaneda, Guest Services / Front Office at Royal Decameron Salinitas, responded to this review Dear Gabriela,We sincerely appreciate you sharing your experience with us and understand how important it is for our guests to enjoy a safe, well-maintained environment with reliable service. We are strengthening our maintenance, supervision, and training processes to ensure that every area of the resort is kept in optimal condition and that communication with our guests is clear and accurate from the moment of check-in.
