  Not even sure how to write this without being too negative. Just let me say I was so disappointed. I think I expected more from this hotel based on its location

  Worst hotel ever.

  This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. I have contacted the place to provide a shuttle two hours prior to arrival but they did not provide me a shuttle and refused to answer my calls when I attempted to contact them. Ones I arrived they gave me a room that’s still under construction. Room had holes everywhere and bathroom smelled like a murder was committed in it. No kettles, tea bags, no cups or any cutleries. TV doesn’t work and you could hear all noises from the outside of the room. Every morning at 8 am exactly, cleaners will come right to the front of my door and have a full blown conversation and in the process waking me and my partner up. Across my room was the cleaners store room hence the continuous noise throughout the day. Phone numbers are not provided hence when you need to speak to front desk then you must go down. I requested a number to contact them on which they didn’t provide. This place is not a 4 star, it’s not even a 1 star. When you complain to management, all he can say was this is Africa and that my expectations should be lowered. I meat with this mentality from management, it explains the behaviour of the rest of the staff. I have stayed in many hotels in Addis Ababa and I have never experienced such a terrible situation. This hotel needs to be closed, renovated and their staff retrained.

  Ambassador Hotel; I never seen such kind of service, it is really incredible for me it is my second homeThe hotel offers excellent customer service and is conveniently located near the airport, shopping center, and ancient church. Fantastic service; I will return shortly.

  OMG! What a dump!

  OMG. What a dump! Ethiopian airline brought me to Addis 2 hours late and I just missed the connection. Next flight to my destination tomorrow morning.As their own new hotel was full, they gave me a voucher for Ambassador hotel. When I arrived where the shuttles are, the Ambassador bus had just left. After waiting, unsuccessfully ,for half an hour for its return, I decided to walk to the hotel. When I arrived, I was told that the hotel was fully booked out and that was communicated to Ethiopian Airlines the previous day.After some discussion, they gave me a room and I was set back 20-30 years. While the room was spacious, everything, including the bathroom, was completely run down. The shower head fell down by looking at it, out of 3 light switches one worked etc. I didn’t have the energy to return to the airport and ask for a different hotel.When I went for dinner, included, I was presented the choice of beef with rice or fish with rice. I assessed the fish as the smaller risk. However, there is no wine or beer. Just water. It’s a non alcoholic hotel.

  The rooms is so good some of them need to be checked The cleaning is so goodThe food i give it 7 of 10 and the breakfast is 90% habasha food and i dont eat habbasha foodAnd the swimming pool is not working💔And the gym machines alot of them is not working
