Location

The hotel is situated in Punavuori, Helsinki's cultural and historic quarter. The Sinebrychoff Art Museum is just 500 metres from the hotel and there are numerous designer fashion houses, vinyl record stores and vintage furniture shops nearby. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the airport.

Facility

The hotel has 95 non-smoking rooms, including 20 single rooms and 65 double rooms, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room.     I loved this hotel. It’s located in the design district which has all the best shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was amazing. I purchased the Helsinki City Card from the front desk. Such a great deal. I walked, rode the tram, went on the panoramic city tour and visited many museums.

    Almost a boutique hotel, this is on the small side compared to mega-chain hotels. Despite the size, the experience was first rate. The rooms were well appointed and cleaned daily. The staff was friendly and English is commonly spoken. The hotel was quiet with little noise from the hallway or street. There was a small bar with reasonable prices. The included breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold items.There are a couple of nice restaurants within a short walk of the hotel and the main shopping area near Stockmanns is about a 10 minute walk as is the railway station.Like a lot of European hotels, they put two twins beds together. The linens were comfortable and the room temperature was easily modified. The shower is small. Very small, like a cruise ship and the elevators are also quite small, 2 people with luggage, at most.The neighborhood was nice and quiet. This was an included hotel from our independent tour operator so I cannot comment on the price but we would definitely stay again next time we are in Helsinki.

    Fantastic stay! We Loved the breakfast, the very comfy beds, the sauna, the attentive staff. The hotel is located very central in Helsinki. We will definitely come back!

    Good Location, Spacious Room, Excellent Breakfast

    This hotel was a last-minute booking for us as we needed an additional night in Helsinki at the start of our trip, following a Finnair flight cancellation. I actually wish we'd stayed at Hotel Sokos Albert for our entire stay in Helsinki! The room was spacious and comfortable, with ample storage and tea & coffee (& hot chocolate) facilities in the room. The bathroom was a little dated, but it was spacious and the Lumene toiletries provided were a bonus!The breakfast buffet was excellent. There was a large amount and a good variety of food available, catering to Finns and tourists alike. I really enjoyed opportunity to try a few Finnish pastries and other foods that I might not ordinarily have reached for. The filter coffee was great, and there was a variety of milk options available.Overall, I really enjoyed the short stay at Hotel Sokos Albert, and I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in Helsinki in the future.

    We stayed here for a couple of days (4-6 Nov) and my experience was very good. We were surprised to find a personal note and a chocolate to welcome us to the Hotel and Helsinki. The room was nice and cozy with all basic amenities. The location itself is very good, near city center and close to bus/tram stops hence convenient. The staff was very helpful and guided me appropriately. Breakfast spread was excellent and food was yummy. Overall, our stay here was very very comfortable and i will highly recommended this hotel for a budget stay. Thank you team Original Sokos Albert Hotel. Cheers!!Rajesh Altekar
