1 star – and only because the rooms are beautiful.

The service is absolutely unacceptable. Despite prior communication (Without answer), we were informed at check-in that our child (2 adults + 1 child) was not allowed to stay in the room. Instead of offering a solution, the immediate response was to push us into booking a significantly more expensive suite. The handling of the situation was particularly concerning: We were first given an offer with a discount, then a slightly revised offer. However, when it came to charging the credit card, the staff attempted to bill the original higher rate again. Only after pointing this out multiple times was the correct, previously agreed price applied. This felt highly unprofessional and unreliable. The staff appeared overwhelmed, no manager was available, and there was zero sense of responsibility or willingness to find a solution. After an 8-hour journey, with our exhausted child sitting on the sofa, there was no empathy or support whatsoever – just a rigid “take it or leave it” attitude.I travel frequently, both professionally and privately, often with my family. I have never experienced such a poor and careless guest experience. The overall impression is a clear leadership issue: a focus on selling rather than genuine guest service. This was further underlined by the fact that we were even offered more expensive options, despite clearly not wanting a suite at all. Conclusion: Beautiful property, but extremely poor service. Not recommended in its current state.

This place is a scam!
30 Mar 2026
This place is a scam! Do not stay there. We were told breakfast was included and then charged $85. When I spoke with the manager she said she couldn't confirm what her staff said and there was nothing she could do. The pictures of the pool and spa online are completely misleading. It's gross. We walked in and walked right back out. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Dear Ms Layton, I'm Claire, the manager who spoke with you on the phone yesterday. Your reservation was made via Expedia under a room-only rate, meaning breakfast was not included. The €76 charged corresponds to four breakfasts (2adults and 2 children), which were paid at reception upon your departure, where you had the opportunity to verify the details. While you mentioned receiving different information, my team is experienced and trained to provide accurate guidance. I have personally checked your booking, which clearly confirms that breakfast was not included, as also stated in your reservation documents. Unfortunately, the breakfasts consumed must be paid accordingly. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused for your stay. Claire - Front Office Manager

not as expected
11 Dec 2025
I had an issue with housekeeping entering the room without knocking while I was not dressed. I received excuses, but nothing else was done. The hotel is a 30-minute walk from the city centre, in a very quiet area. The room is very large but needs better maintenance, the relais kept clicking nonstop. The cold sparkling-water dispenser on the room-floor is a nice touch. The spa is not well managed: the access door is almost always wide open, only water is provided and the container is usually empty, the pool water is too cold to be relaxing. The gym, on the other hand, is very large, well equipped, and extremely clean, with towels and water provided — bravo. For the price and the hotel’s four stars, I expected better service and better spa management.

Good hotel in Annecy
17 Aug 2025
Modern hotel with spacious rooms, great views and nice swimming pool and spa area. Breakfast was good too. Downsides are the location, good 25 mins walk from the city centre, and the staff didn’t seem too responsive or friendly. Also, the pool area got quite crowded with kids.

A three star hotel pretending to pass for a four star
15 Aug 2025
A 3 star hotel trying to pass for a 4 star one. For the price paid, shameful. The lawn is full of weeds and half covered, which should have been a foreshadowing of the rest. A balcony light that you cannot control for some reason, slippers you have to fold yourself with a one size fits no one. Came to reception at 14:30 asking where to get food, informed room service is no longer possible (which is fine) , and told to go to the bar for food. Bar menu states food is available from 12-21:45 only to be informed that due to lack of personnel (week end of the 15th of august, one of the busiest times of the year) food is unavailable at those times (reception was not aware) . Come at 23h on a Saturday only to be informed the bar is closed. Honestly disgraceful especially for the price paid. This is not a four star hotel. It’s a three star hotel coasting on previous achievements.
