Extremely disappointing experience

We had a reservation at Hotel Plaza in Arles for September 8. We arrived early, around 1:30 p.m., and were told by reception that our room was not ready. We parked the car and went into town, returning around 5 p.m., when we were finally checked in.When we entered the room, it was extremely hot—around 32°C—and the air conditioning was not working. It was immediately apparent that the room had not been cooled for quite some time.We went back to reception to explain the problem. Instead of offering a solution, we were told that our options were either to accept the room as it was or cancel our reservation. After spending the entire day on the road, we were therefore forced to find another hotel at the last minute.What was particularly frustrating was the way the situation was handled. We were not warned about the air-conditioning problem by email before arrival, when we first arrived at the hotel, or even when we were being checked in at 5 p.m. Had we been told in advance, we could have made alternative arrangements without wasting time and arriving at the end of a long driving day only to discover that we had nowhere to stay.We also spoke with the manager, Christophe Rousseau. Unfortunately, he did not appear particularly concerned about the situation and did not offer any meaningful solution or assistance.The problem itself was disappointing, but the lack of transparency and the way the issue was handled were even more troubling. A hotel may encounter technical problems, but guests should be informed honestly and given reasonable assistance when something goes wrong. That was not our experience here.

Terrible location and not a nice experience really .

Terrible experience.The welcome was unfriendly but luckily the manager apologised. She was the best thing in the hotel apart from the bed and a good nights sleep.The staff apart from the managed and one other member of staff, were rude, The location is not the centre of the town at all.It's down a rather dilapidated street near the motorway a no d gas none of the charm of the hotels in the centre.It nearly spoilt our holidays, but the manager saved it.I would not recommend it.

This is a place that we would gladly have stayed longer. The staff have been very helpful and understanding. The breakfast was very good. The room was both spacious and well-prepared. There are many details that they have done a great job with, both in the design and the maintenance of the property. Definitely a place we would come back to.

The rooms are nice and big and were very clean. The service by the staff was good and were able to help with information of the area. The parking was free and at the hotel. to get into the hotel just push the button on the intercom on the left side of the gate and they will let you in. a little pricey for the breakfast.

Nice place, not the best location

This is a really nice hotel that is not in the most convenient location. More importantly, there is a super nice staff (helpful and professional), rooms of sufficient size with comfortable beds and all the standard amenities. Highly recommend if you are in Arles for a short (1-3 days) stay
