  Lovely place and great location.

  The hotel is beautiful with spa, pool and a wonderful, location near the beach. We had a lovely walk which was very welcoming after a 6 hour drive. It is very clean and the room was very comfortable. Good on site parking. Our only issue was there wasn’t much in the menu to eat and so we ended up eating out. This was a shame as we were only there for one night and would have preferred to have stayed there.   Run for the staff not the guests

  This hotel is well-situated near a beautiful beach but it is not worth 4 stars. The food is mediocre, particularly at breakfast where you have one type of tasteless cheese (not local) every day, and there is no thought of offering you a fried egg or an omelette. The breakfast room is being reset for dinner as of 9am , in the midst of your meal -- just so that the staff can leave immediately at 10am.. The bar opens 15 minutes before dinner so forget about having a relaxing cocktail before you dine. It closes immediately after dinner too -- so forget about that late night drink. The fitness center opens at 9am so forget about a warm-up on the equipment before breakfast. In short the work schedules of the staff dominate the daily organization of this hotel, not the needs of the guests. It used to be better. We will never go again.   A good place to disconnect!

  The place is calm and away from the fuzz. The personnel is super gentle and very professional.The restaurant is excellent and we loved our spa sessions.We also loved our walks along the beaches in Anglet an Biarritz.   Great spa, restaurant not so good

  We very much enjoyed the sea-water spa and the outside (unheated) pool. Our room was large and well-equipped with fridge and safe and table and chairs and the shower was excellent. View was car park. Central areas comfortable for meetings and bar had lovely sunset view. Nice walk along the coast to the lighthouse and some cafes.We stayed half-board and found the dinners disappointing, although breakfast was good. At dinner only two choices on half-board and the vegan members of family were very poorly served with a risotto which seemed to be boiled rice with vegetables added on top and no doubt at the same price as the meat/fish options. Staff said an omlette could not be made for the vegetarian and her dinner one night was pumpkin puree with potatoes. Staff service was not great and no acknowledgement was made of our special celebration. I would not recommend half-board (especially not the seafood platter at a supplement): go into Biarritz by bus or taxi for great French food.   The hotel is very tired and in need of a major refresh. Definitely not a 4-star experience.

  I reserved a week-long anti-stress cure. Upon arrival some of my key treatments were missing and I was told that this was due to the fact that they were managed by external providers and nothing could be done as they were not available. I had also anticipated by sending some specific requests to have some treatments and not others and to add a few extra treatments to by schedule. They had no trace if my emails and requests on their side and my confirmed (via e-mail requests) had not been taken into account. The majority of my anti-stress specific treatments were crammed into my last day and a half. I had to complain to get them to review my schedule. After having to insist too much, effort was made to accommodate but there was only so much that could be done with the availability that was left over. Needless to say this was not relaxing. While the yoga and hypnosis sessions done my externals were great, the hotel has no idea what they are doing with this cure and should really take it off their offerings list. The hydro therapists are lovely but some of the spa secretaries are not. The hotel itself if extremely noisy. Most rooms are placed around a two-story central atrium which is charming but the room doors are not sealed and light and noise filter in the inch and a half gap at the bottom of the doors (no insulation for sound of temperature). I was woken up at 8am by vacuuming from housekeeping in the atrium and kept awake until 11pm two other nights until families stopped playing card games in the common areas. My room was supposed go have windows and a balcony and I instead I had one small square window that gave out onto the parking lot. Even in the daytime, the lights had to be turned on. I was graciously allowed to change rooms after my first night. Over all the bedding is not 4-star quality and the double bed is simply two single beds pushed together without a pillow top or pad added. No free water is available in the room and no fountains in the hotel part are available to fill up water bottles. Their food options are limited and as the hotel . The towel racks in the bathrooms are rusty and the towels are worn. In the spa area, the teas were often empty and there is only one “salle de repos” that had three loungers. The outside seawater pool is great but the astroturf is worn and the lounger beds are stretched out and sagging so you end up lying on the frame. The lagoon has lots of jets but is booked for group classes at least 5 hours a day with music blasting. Classes are great if you do then but the lagoon is far from being a relaxing experience. While the hotel is located on the beach, there is no direct access to the beach from inside the hotel and the view from the dining area gives you just a sliver of ocean view. Breakfast was ok but nothing special with a limited selection worthy of a three star. Dinner was fine but the not half-board menu stayed the same for the whole week.Overall, extremely expensive for what you get.
