Location

    What a lovely hotel! Staff were excellent. The room was just what we expected, basic but clean and super comfortable! We ate in the hotel one evening, the food was very good. Breakfast was excellent! The hotel is on 2 bus routes so it's great for getting in and out of Biarritz, direct bus to Saint Jean de Luz and into BIarritz and onto the T1 to Bayonne. This is a great hotel for people who are fairly active and want to explore the Pays Basque without spending too much money!

    Male staff member burst into room without authorisation; serious safety issue

    Atrocious dinner service; I asked twice for water, but it was never brought. I had to ask a third time. We ate all of our starters without any of our ordered drinks (wine or water) delivered.Awful breakfast service on the first morning. In a busy environment, the logical layout of where plates and cutlery are kept (also a large distance apart) is completely nonsensical and the staff were very slow to replenish breakfast supplies during peak breakfast time.At 9.05 am, a cleaner knocked on the door! Ludicrously early. We shouted to ask them to leave.At 2.52 pm, a male staff member unlocked the door and promptly walked into the room without invitation while my partner was in bed, unclothed. This was grossly unacceptable. On that basis, you absolutely must not stay at this hotel. There is a serious safety issue here.This hotel is the "Fawlty Towers" of Biarritz, except nobody is laughing.

    VERY GOOD WEEK END IN BIARRITZ HOTEL - COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH LOTS OF SPACE - VERY PLEASANT STAFF POLITE AND AVAILABLE DURING THE WHOLE STAY- THE YOUNG DEJEUNERS WERE VERY COMPLETE AND DIVERSIFIED - 2 EVENINGS WE ALSO HAVE DINNER AT THE HOTEL , THE MEALS WERE CORRECT WITH QUALITY LOCAL PRODUCTS - THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF OF THE BIARRITZ HOTEL FOR THIS RELAXING STAY

    Nice location and pleasant folks working there. Calm and restful, you can hear the ocean when the window’s openBreakfast buffet is very nice. The electric bus can pick you up at 300m from the hotel right to the center of Biarritz.

    We arrived Hotel Le Biarritz in the middle of the night, desperate to get a room for the night for 2 adults and 3 kids, due to our originally booked apartment hotel next door gave us cardkeys that were not activated upon arrival. The reception was closed and the telephone number in case of "emergency" was turned off after midnight. We were warmly welcomed by a very nice man, unfortunately I do not remember his name. We got 2 rooms with a very good discount and the 3rd room for free. The children were hungry, so we asked if we could buy some snacks. He offered us pancakes. He went to the kitchen and came out with a trey full of pancakes, yoghurts, and 3 different sorts of cakes and water. He also asked if we wanted breakfast in the morning, but we were not sure we would make it in time, so he told us we can have the breakfast for free. We also had access to the pool the day after. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. Our rooms were small, but nice and clean. (I see from the pictures on their website that they have bigger rooms with balcony). In the morning we got breakfast while the kids were still sleeping. We then got a little basket we could bring to the room with full of croissants for the kids.If it wasn't for the already paid apartment hotel, we would have stayed in hotel Le Biarritz for the rest of our stay in Biarritz. We have never ever experienced such a nice welcoming and service in any other hotel we have stayed at before and strongly recommend this hotel for the service and location. It is located near the beach, 5 min walk. 10 min walk to the grocery store and other nice restaurant. The bus stop is also located right outside the hotel. You can also walk all the way to the city on a sidewalk right by the beach. We would definitively one back to hotel Le Biarritz.
