    Better for less.

    For a motel, this property takes no consideration to those travelling from afar. The checking in time only offers a small window to hit (17:00-20:00). We travelled from Portugal on our way to England and arrived early after a 9 hour drive. We waited one hour before we could relax in the room. The room was disappointing. Small and cramped in all aspects. Air conditioning was useless. We pre-booked breakfast. We now wish we hadn't, as the earliest this was served was 08:00, which ate into our travel plans (drive to Rouen). We were rushed as a result. As for the breakfast, we were charged €15 each. What was offered was limited and a poor choice/options in relation to other establishments we stayed at that were cheaper in price! We should have left early and eaten something on the freeway. Finally, the €15 charge because we had a pet was just extortionate. The room, being tiny, wouldn't be difficult to clean. Not that my dog is dirty, but the accommodation exactly wasn't luxury. If you're gonna charge that then at least make our pet welcome and provide it at least with a bed like they did in another cheaper hotel we stayed at. Seems they are only interested in money and not its clientele.

    Overrated hotel which seems more like a motel

    On arrival the hotel looks fine but looks more like a motel than a hotel. Enough parking and first impression is good. However, it seems deserted and we do not understand why we cannot check in earlier than 5:00 PM. There are many rooms empty. We can leave our suitcases and use the pool. Did not use this. In the restaurant all the chairs are on the table, a bit strange, as if they are closed. Once checked in, we enter our room. Smells quite musty inside, could they do something about it? Beds are quite hard but are fine. The pillows are very bad, very thin. Point of attention. Room is clean and fine for a short stay. The bathroom, on the other hand, is very small! The mirror is placed so low that I can't even see my own face. If necessary, use normal toilet paper instead of tissue paper. The paper holder is not very useful. The shower cabin, very small and white, has mold! I can't even use the shower properly because there is no sliding rod for the shower head. So when I try to stand under the shower head, my back hides the shower tap! I have seen some pictures of larger showers at this hotel and even with baths. I think they gave us an outdated room. Overall, this hotel (room 204) is way too expensive. Host seems very nice and maybe with this feedback they can do something to make the rooms better. We did not take advantage of breakfast.

    Nice layout, swiming-pool, kind greeting, excellent bed in a confortable room, private parking lot, very good breakfast. I definitely recommend this place to stay. Internet booking went smooth and easy.

    Wonderful relaxing weekend away

    Spent 3 nights here at the beginning of July. The rooms are small, but perfectly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff (owners?) were very friendly and helpful. The pool was absolutely fantastic. Sparkling clean and a great temperature. They even serve snack food and drinks by the pool. Would 100% visit again. Price reasonable due to location and swimming pool. Incredible restaurant just a few metres away.     I have stayed here many times over the last 10yrs (25+) i always get a friendly welcomebreakfasts good rooms always clean and tidy, Alexander always helpfull, once I had a problem with the payment i had pre booked, in the morning they let me leave and said they would sort it out, and if a problem would sort it on my way back in a monthstime. How many English places would do that. Would recommend it to anyone, great place handy for Biarritz and Bayonne, and a lovely beach with cafes and bars just 5mins away by car.Julian .
