  Good city break stay

  Good location - 2 minute walk to the food haven Les Hales de Bacalan and Citie du Vin. Quite a few restaurants around the harbour too, plus near the tram line so easy access to all areas of Bordeaux. Staff happy to speak English when my French reached it limits and we found the apartments clean and adequate for a city break. Take dishwasher tablets so you can run the dishwasher!

  Seriously stay away........especially if you want a towel

  We booked here through easyjet holidays for 4 days. Upon on 3rd day and as we were flying home the next day and as described they would change towels on 3rd day we were informed because the price we paid towel change would not be included. I'm still laughing now. we had no say in the price we paid as booked through agent. If we had not be leaving early next morning we definitely would have booked a night elsewhere.

  Ruined our experience in Bordeaux

  Nice location but uncomfortable apartmentEven it was advertised, their parking was tiny (and full) and we had to pay 21 euro per day in the parking nearby. AC did not work and they don't give you stuff to clean your room, and of course no room service.Staff are not very friendly, and we decided to leave the aparthotel one day earlier and we are still waiting for the refund of the city tax and dog charge for that day, because they could not refund me when checking out.

  The hotel is probably one of the worst I stayed in.Some of the staff are nice, but some are just plain rude, behaving as if they are doing you a favour to even speak to you.The breakfast is below average with many things missing most of the time with a very limited range, including microwaved scrambled eggs and raw heated up sausage.I stayed for 4 weeks during a work trip and the room is partially serviced once a week, with shampoo not being replaced and with small two rolls of toilet paper given for a whole week of stay - if you went to ask at the reception you were given such a look of disgust and contempt that made you feel very unwelcome.Most of the staff can barely speak English and if they do, they do so with a huge reluctance to answer, for a hotel this is appalling.My room smells of the water from the shower drain that is connected to other pipes and it is pretty unpleasant. Some of the linen looks worn out - but overall the bedding is ok.My colleague asked for a tablet for his dishwasher in the room where he was stayed and he was told by the receptionist to go to Carrefour and get it himself!Would not recommend unless you are on a really tight budget.I will certainly not come back again.PS: The young Rafael from the breakfast service was great.   It’s a funny story in hindsight but at the time nearly led to a divorce 😉…We booked 3 months in advance including secure carpark. When we arrived they had no carparks available anymore and blamed another guest for parking across two spaces. They couldn’t findout who’s car it was, wouldn’t open the carpark for us to drive in and told us, either stay without a carpark or go to another hotel. Great service (NOT) except it was 10:00 at night, we had 2 tired kids, hadn’t eaten dinner and we’d just driven 1000km in a day. We were SO happy the receptionist ‘totally understood it was inconvenient.’ It was also great to see the receptionist in tears telling us she couldn’t help or she’d loose her job. Afterall she was new, alone and working overtime without pay.
