    Good value hotel in Bordeaux for Canadian and American guests.

    A very good hotel for the money. We went for a wedding nearby Bordeaux and needed a hotel that was close to the city center, was modern and was cost efficient. This hotel met that bill. The staff is very responsive, time sensitive and friendly. I found this with the front desk staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff. For American customers who are used to more modern rooms and find European rooms either clunky, mixed service or just pretty small -- this is a very good choice. The breakfast offerings are also very good. Would definitely recommend it.

    This is a lovely located hotel, the staff were outstanding and helpful could not want for more, loved it. The room was well appointed. We we had our two dogs with us and they were welcomed just as much as us

    Modern hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

    We stayed three nights in a room with a king bed. Staff is friendly, hotel public spaces are clean and the room itself is quite spacious. Comfortable bed, no exterior noise, a desk, two chairs and a small table. A closet to hang your clothes but no shelves to put your other clothes on. Internet was blazing fast. The bathroom has a rainshower and is of a decent size. Hot water kettle in the room and a small fridge completed the picture.Breakfast was fine with fresh fruit, yoghurt, a pancake machine and a waffle maker. Ordering fresh eggs which is usual included in a Hilton Garden Inn breakfast was an extra and had to be paid for. I found that a bit stingy.Location is fine, just 700 metres from the station or tramstop Belcier. Public transport is of a high qualitiy: clean, very frequent and cheap. Starting a the hotel and walking along the river leads you to many sights.In front of the hotel there is a large food hall with many restaurants and a Carrefour.

    We chose a hotel that was close to the river walk, but away from the historical district.Stayed in the hotel for one night, after a cruise. We arrived at the hotel about 10AM, too soon to access our room. However, the staff allowed us to use the business center until we were able to check in to our room. About 3PM, we were given access to our room, a suite on the 8th floor. Great room, good view of the river. Since we had been away from our office for three weeks, we used the time and the free internet to work. The room was great, our only issue was a footstool in the hallway. During the night, my wife walked into the stool and hurt her foot. I suggest the stool be moved.A very good restaurant is attached to the hotel. We had a great dinner!

    Decent room with everything you really need

    Cheerful welcome, room was ready and available for early check in (though it cost us €50 for the privilege).Arrival cakes and welcome message were great, but no other information really available in the room, for example restaurant menu, breakfast times and costs or any tourist info.You can hear minimal noise from other rooms.Room was clean with comfortable bed (although personally I found the pillows a little naff), decent size with basic necessities. Bathroom adequately equipped and decent size, and shower had good pressure.Only real down side was that the mini fridge didn't really chill anything.There is a big TV, with a few french channels, some German channels, and 1 or 2 English ones.Tip - there's a Carrefour shop about 100m up the street, and the train station is a 10 minute walk.
