    Usually, when you stay in an Ibis you know what you are going to get. A no frills room with a comfy bed and decent service. Ibis St Emilion falls below standard. The room whilst clean was tiny, hardly room to even put down my dogs bed, the service from reception was terrible, receptionist was sitting at a table eating burger and chips whilst people were waiting to check in. She told us she couldnt get us a drink from the bar as it was closed until 7pm but then she served some French people before 7 without any problem.The restaurant attached to the hotel was from the La Boucherie chain and the service in there and the food was excellent. Parking was ample & free, dogs accepted at a charge of €5 a night Would I stay again, no. There are better Ibis hotels than this one.

    Good place for a one nice stay. Breakfast was pretty basic - but had all the right components - bread, ham, cheese, coffee and juice. The shower was good as was the bed - wasn’t a. Lot close by. Good English spoken by all the staff that I encountered.

    Didn’t pretend to be more than it is. Comfortable bed, good shower and clean. Particularly fine breakfast. Lady at breakfast and at checkout never stopped working and was diligently cleaning every table. Free big car park and very convenient for the Bordeaux vineyards or like me an overnight stop going North. , General Manager at Ibis Bordeaux Saint Emilion, responded to this review Dear Mike, we thank you so much for putting forward the quality of the benefits we suggest to our customers.     We stayed here in April as we were travelling through France and wanted to stay away from Bordeaux. The staff were functional and reasonably efficient but lacked any warmth and limited English too. Onsight food was good for a meal but the breakfast offering was way overpriced, so we declined.The room and bathroom was clean and tidy, but no tea or coffee facilities in the room made the stay less comfortable, but was available in the Ibis in Portsmouth! Would only revisit if no good alternative.

    We stayed for a night to visit St Emilion, and break our journey south. We booked interconnecting rooms (directly on the hotel website), which were perfect for our family of four. The corridors are a little tired, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, with effective air con and a decent bathroom (shower only). Reception were very helpful at check in (I'd managed to reserve 3 rooms rather than just the interconnecting rooms) and were happy to speak English. We had arranged our "Pass Sanitaire" prior to leaving the UK, and it was required at check in. It was a short drive to Saint Emilion, which was well worth a visit. We had a lovely meal at the adjoining restaurant (La Boucherie), and a good breakfast to see us on our way the next morning.
